Supermodel Kate Moss got engaged on Saturday night to her boyfriend and guitarist, Jamie Hince. Hince, who has been dating Moss for over two years, flew out to meet Moss on a small private island in the West Indies where she was working. Kate Moss was extremely excited and surprised by the proposal.

Prior to leaving, Hince called Moss to tell her to stay in the West Indies so he could come and be with her on her birthday. Hince stunned Moss by proposing to her on her 36th birthday with a carefully selected engagement ring. The guitarist reportedly got help choosing the engagement ring from Moss’s employer and good friend, Philip Green who owns Topshop.

Kate Moss, who has a 7 year old daughter with an ex-boyfriend, was previously engaged to musician Pete Doherty, who proposed to her in early 2007. Moss and Doherty were expected to get married that summer, but ended up breaking up in July 2007.

Moss and Hince already live together, and Hince reportedly has an excellent relationship with Moss’s daughter.
