La Toya & ‘American Idol” a Perfect Match?

The question for many people this morning is trying to decide if La Toya & ‘American Idol’ could be the right combination for ratings success.

It appears that Michael Jackson’s sister is once more trying to snag some press by letting it be known that she is interested in being a serious contender to replace Idol judge Simon Cowell.

If this were to happen the females on the judging panel would be the majority at 3:1 but La Toya should not get her hopes up just yet.

For a number of years La Toya Jackson has sought headlines and national attention.

She has never been an A list star and even her musical talents have generated a lot of negative reviews and comments. Her altered appearance (via the plastic surgery route favored by some of her siblings) and less than stellar performance “chops” are far more likely to put her name close to the bottom of any list of possible replacements for Cowell or any other American Idol judge.

La Toya might create a flurry among viewers the first week or two, but the novelty of seeing another Jackson sibling on television would certainly wear thin in a short amount of time.

No! She has no artistic credibility whatsoever. I wouldn’t even want to be a contestant.

No La Toya should just stay away from any type of show business venture. She has ZERO talent, just because she came from the most disfunctional household on the planet called “The Jackson’s” should not mean a place on American Idol. Now that Abdul is gone, with Simon next I personally think that will be the end of American Idol. Simon is a brillant man getting off the show while its still in the ratings, going out on top. No La Toya I think you better home and play with your snakes or recycle some of that plastic in your face/body/boops etc. Good luck for you La Toya its a good thing MJ left your Mom with all the loot, then someday part of it will be yours and you can just continue to live the good life instead of slinging hash in some cheap diner.

Oh that’s a hoot La Toya on American Idol, qualifications PLEASE!!! Just because she is a Jackson doesn’t mean she has talent. If they want a good judge get her brother Germaine. NO La Toya stay at home and play with your dolls.

I am so disappointed about Ellen Deg. replacing Paula, so much so that I will stop watching it once she is on the show, to have some someone without any fashion sense, replace such a kind, beautiful, and talented individual makes no sense to me, I do not watch Ellen’s show because I do not find her funny or interesting, I love American Idol, I have watched it from the start, but I have no interest in this ladies views on the preformers, and I do not consider her to have talent herself that would allow her the title of judge, you either love or dislike Ellen, their is no grey with this type of individual, and I think that her input will turn more people away than American Idol realize, I would prefer La Toya, she is beautiful, interesting, and dresses like a women, and she is very tallented individual who speakes from the heart, from a soon to be x- American Idol fan
