Survivor Star Jennifer Lyon Loses Breast Cancer Battle


Jennifer Lyon, who had participated in the show “Survivor Palau” in 2005, died at the age of 37, after a long battle with breast cancer.

Lyon had finished fourth in “Survivor Palau. In 2005.

The former nanny had learned she was suffering from stage III breast cancer chosen to undergo a double mastectomy followed by chemotherapy.

“Survivor: Panama – Exile Island” castaway Austin Carty, who briefly dated Lyon in 2006, last saw her in 2008 while attending a breast cancer charity event.

He told Us magazine, “Jen was a genuinely selfless, sweet-natured person. She always had a smile. She cared about every person.”

“She was engaged in the greatest fight of her life, but she had every intention to fight and spread her positive messages.”

“Survivor” host Jeff Probst reconnected with Lynn after learning of her cancer battle.

In his words, “Her wisdom about how to live a life with quality seemed to grow with each passing day.”

Following her diagnosis she became an advocate for breast cancer awareness.

Lyon passed away in Oregon.
