Jets Owner Opens Up About Daughters Death

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, has opened up about the untimely death of his estranged daughter Casey Johnson

Speaking to the New York Times, Johnson said it has been a “brutal couple of weeks.”

“It’s two different worlds,” Johnson told reporters Thursday at the Jets facility in Florham Park, N.J.

“That’s the way you can handle it. One really doesn’t help the other. The other is reality – I lost a daughter. There’s no way to bring her back.

“But with the team, Rex (Ryan) is doing amazing things for the franchise, for the New York Jets, for the city of New York. You see it, you feel it. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

This is an interesting twist for an owner who has been having a heated debate with Jets fans, as to why the team is setting ticket prices so high on the new $1.4 billion stadium. As all of this is occurring, Johnson is publically stating how he is there for the fans and will do what he needs to do to accommodate them, including opening up team practices.

Now that the team is just one win away from going to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1969; makes today’s game that much more vital. Where, a win will be vindication for an owner who is wrestling with the issues of death, anger from the fans and a team that is on the door step of greatness.
