The storied saga which has followed former Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards for the past few months has added another chapter this week as the politician’s former girlfriend, Rielle Hunter, sued author Albert Young.
The incident stems from Young’s upcoming book which describes a video in which Edwards is having sex with a visibly pregnant woman, who is presumably Rielle Hunter. In Young’s book, he describes having found a damaged video tape in a box that he discovered while renting a home from Hunter.
Rielle Hunter has admitted that in September of 2006 that she and Edwards had created a very private and intimate video using her home video equipment. Hunter further continued that she attempted to destroy the tape immediately by cracking the tapes casing, but instead of destroying the tape, she kept its remains in a small shoe box.
While it remains unclear whether Hunter is the woman in the video, court ordered authorities went to Young’s home to recover the tape. Young’s attorney claimed that the tap could not be immediately turned over. Beyond seizing control of the tape, Hunter has sued Young and his wife and is seeking a jury trail for damages caused by invasion of privacy.
The two of them (John Edwards and Rielle Hunter) are scum bags–they deserve each other. It’s a match made in Video heaven….I hope John Edwards is completely humilated by Albert Young’s book.
