Country cutie Taylor Swift has just broken the record for the best downloadable debut by a female artist. The record was previously held by Britney Spears. Her latest release from her “Valentine’s Day” movie is titled “Today Was a Fairytale,” earned her the prominent record. She costars alongside her x-boyfriend Taylor Lautner in the star packed film, which releases on February 12th, 2010.

The song has been downloaded over 325,000 times in just the first week of its release. The Grammy nominated songstress has been topping charts on the country and Top 40 charts for more than a year. Spears’ “Womanizer” had just over 286,000 in its first week.

She is set to perform the song at the Grammy award show in Los Angeles on Sunday night. She is nominated for a total of 8 awards including the best album of the year. The 20 year old megastar first burst onto the country music scene in 2006 with her song “Tim McGraw.” She has been writing her own music, since she was just 10 years old. She has 2 albums under her belt is rumored to be working on her third.

The song is included in the movie soundtrack which is available in stores now.
