Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are engaged to be married.

Bell’s publicist, Marcel Pariseau, confirmed to People Magazine that the 29 year old Bell and her 35 year old comedian and co-star in the romantic comedy “When in Rome” became engaged over the holidays. In the movie, Shepard plays a “self absorbed suitor” who falls in love with Bell’s character.

Bell, best known for her starring role in the CW’s “Veronica Mars” series and a recurring role on Heroes, appeared without her ring to her and her fiance’s up coming film’s press junket but sported the diamond proudly on the Grammy Awards red carpet at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

While presenting at the award’s ceremony last Sunday, Bell discretely held up her left hand giving the audience an eye full of her new engagement ring. The dazzling diamond ring looked gorgeous on Bell paired with her stunning black gown from Etro.

The couple have been dating for a few years, since Shepard’s break up with Kate Hudson. When asked by Women’s Health last fall how she and Shepard keep their relationship working, Bell pointed to healthy communication and cuddling as their secret. Shepard is said to have proposed to Bell in December close to Christmas.
