Justin Mentell has died due to injuries suffered in a single vehicle accident. According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department the twenty seven year old, former Boston Legal star, was not wearing his seat belt when his Sports Utility Vehicle went off a steep embankment and hit two trees. The accident happened yesterday, Monday January 1, 2010. It is believed that the deadly accident occurred around 3:00 a.m however, it was not reported until 8:30 a.m. Mentell died on impact after being thrown from his Jeep. The accident occurred in rural Waukegan, Illinois on Highway 39 near Blanchardville.
Mentell starred as attorney Garrett Wells in Boston Legal from 2005-2006. He most recently starred in the hit movie G-Force in 2009. Justin was also an aspiring musician. Before becoming an actor, Metell was a member of the US Junior National Speedskating Team.
According to IMDb.com, Mentell was born in Austin, Texas and graduated from Waukegan High School. He also attended Northern Illinois University, where he graduated in 2005 before landing his big acting gig with the ABC hit TV show. Please do not make the same mistake as Justin Mentell did. When you enter a vehicle, make sure you buckle up!
