According to reports, Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend may be the newest celebrity couple to break up. The couple, who are not married but have been together for nine years, have reportedly moved into separate homes. Theron, who is most notably known for her lead actress roles in “The Italian Job” and “Sweet November,” is still living in their Hollywood Hills home. Townsend, who is best known for his role in “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” has moved into the couple’s beach home in Malibu.

According to tabloid reports, Theron began to feel trapped in her relationship with Townsend. She reportedly was extremely stressed over being the primary breadwinner in the family and was upset that their had not been any wedding discussions. Theron has openly spoke out denying these reports. Theron has stated that after years of living together, she and Townsend felt more like brother and sister than girlfriend and boyfriend.

The couple decided to break off their relationship over the Christmas holiday when they were celebrating in Mexico. Apparently, after they got back, Theron stopped wearing the antique commitment ring that Townsend had given her.

While Theron seems to be handling the break pretty well, Townsend is reportedly quite distraught.
