Charlize Theron’s split from fellow actor Stuart Townsend is a hot Hollywood topic especially since the stunning actress was reportedly seen on a date with a mysterious, handsome male shortly after the breakup was making news.

Theron and Townsend had been a hot and heavy item for just over 9 years and according to all reports they seemed as committed to each other as any married couple.

This Christmas was when it all took a sudden change and although Townsend had never formally asked his lover to marry him he has gone on record stating that he considered Charlize to be his wife. Now it seems that Charlize apparently began reconsidering the situation during their holiday getaway in south of the border Mexico.

According to a close friend of both Townsend and Theron it was the actress that put the final nails in the relationship’s coffin.

Charlize is said to have decided that the spark and sizzle was gone and she wanted to move forward with her life. Stuart Townsend is understandably baffled and hurt, but maybe he should have heeded the advice in that song by Beyonce, “Single Women”.
