Carnie Wilson Needs Help With Obesity Battle


Even though she had her stomach stapled ten years ago, Carnie Wilson weighs 212 pounds and is still battling obesity.

She says she ate a lot of bagels and English muffins when she was pregnant with her two kids.

Wilson tells People she’s lost six pounds so far on Dr. Oz’s weight-loss program. But she’s not exercising as she should.

“Having children derailed me a bit,” said the Wilson Phillips singer

She says when it’s a gorgeous day outside, instead of wanting to go jogging, her first thought is to make “a big tub of buttered popcorn,” lie on the couch a watch a movie.

Willson, who now weights 218 pounds, says she wants to get down to 160 pounds.

“I don’t want to be drastic. I want to be realistic,” Wilson said, who is losing the weight for her children as much as for herself.

“I have to be a teacher to my daughters,” she said. “Lola started to notice commercials on TV with people who are trying to lose weight, and she looks at me. She’s thinking about this stuff, and it’s getting to her.”

The former Wilson Phillips’ singer stars in the GSN reality show “Carnie Wilson: Unstapled.”
