Todrick Hall isn’t just a singer or dancer that appears on American Idol’s 2010 season. When he was just 17 years old, he revised Oz and wrote it as a musical, aptly titled “Oz, the musical.” Using amateur actors, he cast roles and put on small productions around town.
The Arlington, TX native is now 24 years old and just worked his way into the top 24 of Idol. Unfortunately, the past is coming back to haunt him. His production “Oz, the musical” evolved from an amateur teen act into a musical funded taken on a small tour of Texas. The production was supposed to go national and leading roles were already filled by professional actors when the production was mysteriously canceled. The problem: some parents had already paid $50 for their children to attend.
Todrick’s success on Idol will more than likely pay to curb the rage of parents. As we learn more about this multi-talented young man in the weeks and years to come, I’m sure there will be more stories to tell about his past creative adventures. For now, all he has to do is make sure a few angry parents get their refund for his very interesting take on the world of Oz.

I am in love with todrick, he has an amazing voice nd fashion that rocks, even if he is 7 yearz olda, i would marry him
wowwww. u know vey well that he’s not gonnawin now that he’s owing people!
I always wondered what happened to that musical…very interesting.
BTW, is anyone literate anymore? Geesh!
Where are you from??? You can’t talk and you can’t spell!!!
Money already admitted that he was the one responsible for the production. Hall was only the playwright! In the entertainment business, no one can guarantee that a play or event will be a real success. You pay your dues and take chances. Don’t cry now that things went sour. The parents should be grateful that their children were given a chance to be in something so significant. If it wasn’t for Todrick Hall some of these children would probably have never had an opportunity like this. So, stop condemning the creative genius behind the production, and give thanks that your child has received some productive, if not professional experience that they can now put on a resume or in a promo package for future performances. I hope Todrick Hall wins the American Idol contest. It’s very obvious that he is extremely talented. Good Luck Todrick and God speed.
One Love,
Ipriama Kwan
