Evangelist Benny Hinn Heading For Divorce

World renowned Benny Hinn, who has preached in many different countries all over the world has reportedly been shocked by his wife Suzanne when she filed for divorce. According to friend of Benny Hinn, Suzanne filed for divorce on February 1 at the Orange County Superior Court. The news mainly came as a complete shock to the preacher because Suzanne had never given any notice or warning to Benny Hinn that she was even contemplating a divorce.

The couple, who were initially married in 1979 but were having some problems in recent months. According to Suzanne Hinn, the divorce is needed because some of the couple’s differences could not have been solved in any other way. It is not entirely clear what the issues were that caused the problems. Sources say that the couple had attempted to resolve problems in their relationship through the use of pastors and faith healers, but nothing had worked permanently.

While Benny Hinn has repeatedly stayed in the public spotlight, his wife Suzanne has seldom been seen in public. The couple have four children together, which include three daughters and one son. Despite constantly preaching in public, Benny Hinn has not spoken publicly about his divorce.

Send me your donation and I will pray for you !!!

    • B. Jones says:

I can relate to Suzanne, Not that the pastors are not real. The healing is real, because God is real. God distribute these kind of gifts to people. On the other hand, ministers tend to forsake their families and cleve totally to their ministries and gifts. You can never know the loneliness the family experience, which can not be understood by the minister because they are so involved in helping other people. I am one of the minister’s wives, who would like a divorce also.

      • katie zeisz says:

if you think God is real, then you know what the bible says about divorce, you must not really care and you can’t blame all your problems on your husband

      • Lonely One says:

I understand the loneliness of a pastor’s wife and children..I myself am one. The congregation and others get the time and the best parts of the pastor…the exhaustion and “crankiness” and stress is left for the loved ones at home.

        • fed-up says:

And the members get to throw words at the pastor’s wife, in church, and the pastor thinks there is nothing wrong with that. I am fed-up and I want a divorce.

      • B. Bailey says:

        B. Jones if you believe Benny Hinn can really heal people I have some swamp land to sell you so you can build a beautiful house on. God is the only one who can heal. All of the “healing” preachers are simply con-artists just like psychics, dog-whispers,etc. Don’t be fooled by people who say they have the power to heal. Please pay attention to the people they choose. Also, the ones who are on crutches or in wheel chairs are actually paid to pretend. That way people see someone in a wheelchair who could not walk and after they heal them then they can. It is a scam.

        • John G. says:

Ummmm, if these scams are not real, then why have I been supernaturally healed by an incurable disease that was costing me a lot of money and down time from work? Don’t judge something you obviously know NOTHING about.

        • b.davis says:

          B. Bailey, you are so wrong. Yes God is the only one who can heal but he works through others. And it is crazy for you to say the people in wheelchairs are being paid. You clearly do not have an understanding of God at all. Im not saying that every minister out there is completely perfect but for you to state this is just wrong. Don’t judge what you dont’ know.

        • Oscar says:

Sorry, I have to disagree with you. I used to think so. Until, I experience, my own healing experience flowing from me to someone else. If anything, you should be praying these healers, because when healing takes place, virtue comes out of the healer and it is not that pretty. SO get you facts straight or pray that God gives you that gift.

        • Harvey Hammett says:

No legitimate minister of God believes or would say they are a healer. Benny Hinn has never said that. Aand if you would read the Bible(which is the bench mark) you would see that God uses people to do His work on earth. He always has and He always. Wow a perfect God uses flawed people we should all thank God fo that. HTH

        • Charles says:

Hallo B. Bailey come to your senses how many times has the man of God claimed to be a healer? God is spirit he passes through people so that people like you can understand his Existence & healing power

      • Spirit says:

This is why the Catholic priests are not allowed to get married. The congregation is their spouse. Only the ones who have the real vocation will be faithful to their vows.

      • Enter your name... says:

i was married to one of those pastors that gave all to their ministries but very little to the family. now we are getting a divorce. not my choice. his. i guess he got tired of giving to everyone except us. now he feels we have no relationship. duh! my faith is in the Lord. Not my pastor.

      • Dot Brooks says:

I know that God heals but these jokers on tv?? don’t think so…why is it they never heal anyone with an illness you can actually see…its always bad pain, head aches, can’t walk and then they get up out of their wheelchairs…lol..I also believe in the tooth fairy

    • Sara says:

Man, I don’t really know what’s true or false about this guy, Benny Hinn!! All I know is the IRS issues, the healing realism or not debates, manipulation and now divorce. I haven’t heard anything positive about this dude. I guess “Christians” can call it a “spiritual attack” and others call it a “come uppance” that happens to everyone eventually who works within the guise of bad motives.

Only God knows the truth of the entire situation with him, his family and his ministry. None of us but God ever will know the truth behind this man good or bad.

    • mike w says:

Yeah, me too… I will also throw in a six pac!

  2. charlie says:

i guess we finally know the truth about benny hinn. all of those “healings” he performed must be bogus as he could not heal his own lifes problems. please donate all of the donations that you have received to a “real” foundation.

    • trisha says:

He does not do the healing only god can heal

      • DB says:

Umm..trisha..I believe that was Charlie’s point.

        • Nani Muss says:

Charlie’s point is inane. People have free will. Benny Hinn cannot “solve” anyone’s problems and that does not make him a fake. That’s like saying God is fake because every day of the week there are tons of people running around – all with problems. I also agree with the person that stated that this is the reason why Catholic priests are not allowed to be married. You cannot serve two masters. It says so in the book of Matthew.

    • Nam says:

Really?! Have you been there? This is a choice made by his wife and I’ll try to understand. But don’t compare one with the other because until you get there and feel the “power” you know NOTHING!

  3. Jude says:

I believe we should wait for more details.

If it was some moral failure on the part of Benny Hinn we would have heard it already from someone else. It doesn’t like that caused the issue. I have heard living in California is not the best place for a marriage.

Also I heard Suzanne Hinn hired the most expensive divorce lawyer that celebrities used to get the biggest amount of cash back. (They been married for over 30 years.) And she has her own ministry website that does not mention Benny Hinn’s name anywhere. It sounds like she has been planning this for some time.

  4. Marshell says:

This man has done nothing wrong to either one of you guys(charlie&mike). To make statements like this about a man that has spent decades spreading the Gospel is absurd. Although Pastor Hinn is a preacher, nonetheless he’s a “man”. A man that deals with issues you guys have to deal with on a day to day bases. This is a prime example of how graceless society can be. How about just praying for him and his family. This will help him the most. God Bless…

    • Steve says:

I agree with Marshell,we ALL have issues that we have to deal with in this life and in the flesh. The LORD said”pick up YOUR cross DAILY and follow me” If he or his wife can’t work things out it is ok for them to get a divorce. Please lets PRAY for them and that whatever happens(stay or go)they will be in Gods will, not yours or mine and may God bless you all

      • Melissa says:

I agree with Steve and so many of you like him. Which one of us is perfect and doesn’t need Jesus? I believe the Scripture states, “Let he (or she) who is without sin, cast the first stone.” Why is this man and his wife being judged so harshly? Which one of you, no matter who you are, stands in the place of perfection, always paying perfect attention to your wives, husbands, kids, aging parents, sick family members, etc? Which one of you has never heard the comment about yourselves that you are workaholics or that you have some other “god” in your life that you place above God? Examine yourselves carefully before you continue to step on this man and his wife and their situation, those of you who profess to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Those of you who don’t are justified in your foolish comments because you don’t know any better, but those of you who declare Jesus as Lord, let Him touch your hearts in a way that Mr. Hinn and his wife will do God’s will. We don’t know anything other than what the media presents to us, which is usually skewed and seeks to blast the name of Christianity at every turn. Those of you who are Christians, don’t help the media do that by tearing down this man. God’s Word says “Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.” God is the ONLY ONE who knows this couples’ hearts. Don’t try to be God by trying to do the same, because God didn’t give any of us permission to do that. Pray God’s will be done and that He would be glorified in the midst of what appears to be a bad situation. “All things work together for good to those who are the called according to God’s purpose” and “What the enemy intends for evil, God will take it and make something great out of it.”

    • Teri says:

AMEN Marshell! I agree! Don’t judge others! Pray for them instead!

  5. dan says:

ok, I will pray for him, but if he sends me a donation I will send him an annoited prayer cloth also.

  6. mark j says:

Pastor Hinn is a pastor that lives a very high priced life style off the people that believe in his witchcraft.Only God can heal the sick you do not have to pay a con artist like Hinn.Maybe his game is catching up to him.And maybe his wife is sick of living a lie.

    • LC Mae says:

Coming from a pastor’s wife. I agree totally with this comment. There comes a time when we cannot pretend any longer. My hats off to Mrs Hinn, Many of us do not have the courage to do as she did.
I wish her all the best in the Lord.

      • DB says:

Courage? She married a con man, lived off the proceeds, and now wants to leave with a cut of the takings.

      • b.davis says:

Wow, you must be a losey wife than. Grow up and actually practice what you preach. Or maybe put your head into the word a little more.

    • kari s says:

I couldn’t agree more Mark J. You hit the nail on the head!! Amen

  7. E Dixon says:

Folks let’s hold our fire. Pray that God will intervene on these people’s behalf. We do not know all the details and it might not matter what they are. Those of us who are Christian must remember that we all have one comon enemy who delite himself in destroying marriages. You see, marriage is not man’s idea; it’s a Devine Institution. True CHRISTIAN SERVICE is a sacrifice that some of us sometimes find to be too much to bear. When that happens, we need to re-evaluate our commitment to Christ, if we are in- deed committed. For Ms B. Jones, you need to talk to God about your situation and your husband after. May God comfort you and heal your Marriage as well as Benny’s

  8. mizemom says:

I attended a Benny Hinn crusade in 1999. While there were “miracles” happening on stage, I noticed that hundreds of people in the audience were trying to walk or praying to receive healing, and absolutely nothing happened to them. One man in particular is stuck in my mind–he was holding his toddler son in his arms, and the baby was on an oxygen machine. No one approached this man at all.

I believe that Jesus loves us and can do anything. But I don’t think Benny Hinn is His instrument.

  9. Dy says:

Are you kidding me mark j? Are you a Christian? Pastor Hinn just went through a very thorough audit by more than one government agency and he passed them all with flying colors and it cost the ministry over a million dollars just because of people like you who know nothing and run off at the mouth about something they know nothing about. Do you even realize how much work is involved in running a successful ministry? He works extremely hard and deserves every dime he receives for his salary. And you don’t have to give him a dime in order to be healed. God works through people to do his work for him. And what Pastor Hinn does is not witchcraft!!!Where do you get your information from because it’s all wrong information.

    • mark j says:

Dy, you must drink his kool-aid.I do not however and if he were a true Christian he would not walk around in 3000.00 dollar suits and live in mansions when we have childern going hungry and homeless people with no shelter. I’m not saying people don’t deserve what they earn but this is not the case here!

    • B. Bailey says:

Dy are you kidding me? I am a Christian and if you believe that Benny Hinn deserves all the money he steals from people looking to be “healed” then you are the one that is blinded by his false teachings. He can no more heal anyone than you or I can. He does not deserve any of the money he makes as he is a predator, truly a wolf in sheeps clothing. He is in it for the money. Get real and wake up. God is the only one who can heal someone. Benny Hinn cannot. Most of the people you see on stage are people they find to pretend to be sick and carry on like they do. If you notice in the crowd the real people who need healing are left there.

    • JAC says:

DY: You must be embaressed, sounds like you have paid money to Paster Hinn, still waiting for your stuborn brain to heal?
There have been many, so called Healers, who have
taken advantage of Crippled and Sick Christians, who beleive in Jesus or God the Father?
I beleive he Mesmorises (Hynotises)..some of his
patients, the others are part of his group!
If you’de look back a few years, you could see that this is one of the biggest Scams out there, some people have served time in jail, for this !

    • Steve says:

Dy you are so right. And it is not for us to judge but for God only. If you don’t agree with the man or his ministry then don’t. But don’t judge!

    • b.davis says:

      Amen..totally agree!

  10. Jen says:

Once thing I have learned in ministry over the past 23 years is that you should neve judge anyone (not even if you have walked in their shoes) because the Lord is the only Judge and he is just and right. His judgment is perfect. He knows what the Hinns are going through and he has their best interest at heart. Obviously, from some of the comments on this site, people do not. Anyway, the best thing for humans to do is pray for the Hinns and love them. That is the way of the Lord.

  11. geeyah says:

Iagee with Markj. (Pastor Hinn is a pastor that lives a very high priced life style off the people that believe in his witchcraft.Only God can heal the sick you do not have to pay a con artist like Hinn.Maybe his game is catching up to him.And maybe his wife is sick of living a lie.)

Mark, you are absolutrly correct. I have seen Hinn on tv and don’t believe half what I see. I remember when Dateline did a special on Hinn and they showed where he had his “own” doctors to say someone was healed and also, they tried to questioned him, but he declined. It was also stated that Benny Hinn collected “donations” BEFORE service began and that the ones that had the “least” illness were put up front. The individuals in “wheelchairs” were PUSHED ASIDE or PUT IN THE BACK OF THE AUDITORIUM” because Hinn “would not prove his “miracles”. This is someone who lived off the “ignorance” of his followers and now his “sins” is before him. His wife saw and no longer wanted to be apart of his “madness”. Also, it was shown that Benny Hill was “visably” DRUNK on the platform. See Youtube for the “proof”. Continue to support these so-called men of God” and you will be greatly disappointed. God wants us to “believe” in Him through faith” not what “donations” may pay for. You cannot “pay for a “healing”. Faith without “works” is dead! God moves through belief, which is “faith”. Try God instead of these so-called “faith healers”. More is going to fall and time goes on.

    • Steve says:

geeyah you do have some good points and i agree there are some con men out there and maybe he is one and maybe she is too. But you know that we are not to be the judge of that. Please if you have a bible study in the book of acts.God bless you

  12. Blessed says:

I am saddened and shocked by this news, but I am praying for pastor Benny Hinn and Suzanne that God will help them to reconcile any differences and get back together. May God turn this situation around in Jesus Name. Amen

  13. B. Bailey says:

Benny Hinn can no more heal anyone than I can. Only the one and only true living God can. If he was truly a healer then there would be no need for doctors. He could heal everyone and we would have no sickness or disease. Of course, some of you will say that he can only heal the ones who believe. He is simply a man preying on individuals who have problems seeking for someone to comfort them and what better way to comfort someone then to make them think they are healed. Hinn is a con-artist plain and simple.

  14. Ash says:

I’m not going to pass any judgement on this man or his wife, especially based on just reading an article that doesn’t have all of the facts. I will just pray for them.

  15. Chrissy says:

    (1) For those of you who have taken over the job or role of God (who is the only judge)…….are really out of order!!!
    (2) All assumptions ….assumptions!!!! Evidence base is lacking!!!

    (3) Which one of you are without sin…uh?

    (4) He is Benny Hinn…but the last time I checked he was human. He will make mistakes..just like all of you!!

So…why all of you back stabbing….sinful….people just leave him alone and pick the mote out of your eye!!

I am a pastor’s daughter, grand-daughter and neice…So I do know what the pressures of ministry is all about!!

    • DB says:

Most of the “judgement” I’m seeing here is about his so-called “gift of healing”. I don’t know what he did in his marriage. That’s between him and his wife. When he starts taking money from people for bogus cures, we not only have a right–we have an obligation to call him on it.

    • Steve says:

      Aman!! Chrissy

  16. Kay says:

becareful what you say about any man of God..Remember God judges… not man..The time will come out when God wants it to..if not in our time ….God’s time!!!

  17. Andi says:

Everyone needs to be very careful about judging others. People use the scripture “by their friuts, you’ll know them” Does anyone really know the real YOU? Can anyone tell you the thoughts you had 5 minutes ago? God can. Hands off judging please; pray for them; you will want someone praying for you when your world is shaken. Have some mercy and lose the bitterness. Your day of adversity is coming, and you will need true prayer support and mercy. God is the only one who knows all, knows all hearts and motives, understands and sees all… stuff we know nothing about, guys; we have no access to why people do what they do. He’ll have the last say about everyone’s activities…even YOURS, as well as the things you write on this blog about others… He will also ask YOU to give an account for everything you have done in your body, inclusive of typing these slanderous notes about issues you don’t truly (and never will)have the facts about. Much love, Ad

    • Renee says:

      Thanks Andi

Enough said. We will give an account for every idle word spoken. (I think that would include blogging)

  18. amber kaye says:

What stands out most to me is that there are children involved. Whether they are grown and gone or still at home, let’s remember them and lift them up in prayer. They are innocent in this and need love and support and strength and peace that only God can provide.

  19. karl says:

to jay read your bible we can judge 1cor. 6 1-7 also JESUS say you shall know them by they fruits however lets pray for them GOD does heal through his preachers or faithful christians lets judge with love forgive to be forgiveing

    • DB says:

Amen! And don’t forget 2 Cor 2:14. We are not to be “peddlers” of the Word for “profit”. Paul often worked as a tent maker to make ends meet. If you are supposedly ministerting and begging for more money while walking around in designer clothes, it’s time to take a personal inventory.

  20. Janet Capers says:

We have to realize that the men and women of God are human beings with the same issues that everyone face each day, since they are not God we do not expect them to be perfect, however we do expect them to practice what they preach and teach, they are the light in a dark world, some worship them as though they are God and when they fail some are disappointed and get angry with God, God did not fail us man did, and as long as men live they will disappoint us, place your faith in God and not man, God bless all

  21. Bible Bangers are Nuts! says:

All of you “bible bangers” are nuts! I am reading your comments and it is so sad that we have such an abundance of ignorant, ignorant people in our society. You should hear yourselves. All of you are in an “ignorance is bliss” state. For someone who isn’t in your state, listening to you people is probably the most single, annoying thing in existence. Who knows maybe I am jealous that I can’t be as ignorant as you…

  22. Dan B. says:

Your spouse is your annointing as God hates divorce and separation is faith limitations of one or both. Your best spouse believe it or not is your first one Do all you can in the strenght of Christ to keep it together. You will be glad you did. As Jesus saith if you can’t deal with these issues it is better not to marry. Not that divorcing is going to keep one out of heaven it does affect your earthly and eternal annointing that glorifies God .The divorcer’s life may be shortened due to the issue of the cup and bread of communion (treatment of the agreieved),the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, the body of Christ, the watching world .The divorcee is free if the divorcer remarries.

    • Teresa says:

If you were married to my ex, you would not be saying that. He was a jerk, and is remarried now.

For all who are commenting on pastor’s families and the like, it is a lifestyle that can only be fully understood by those who have either lived it, or have been close to someone who has lived it.
The family of the pastor, especially the wife and children are under a microscope at all times, even in church. They are often expected to be perfect, although they are only human, just like anyone else.
The pastor is also under the microscope as well. The nearest example I can think of for anyone who is not in the church or is not familiar with it is when someone is running for office, especially on the state or national level.
Lest anyone think I am just down on pastors, my best friend is a pastor, and he is truly a man of God, as devout as anyone I have ever known.
That being said, not all pastors are created equal.

  23. confused says:

Religion in this country is a joke. It’s consumer based like everything else in our society. I come from a family who is in church three times a week. However, I am not a religious person. I have a serious problem with the way religious people “pick and choose” their beliefs and methods to better convenience themselves. Why else would we have so many dieties based on a a single book? My mother always tries to end this argument with “I think the only way to get into Heaven is through Jesus.” Well, since Christianity derived from Judaism, are the Jews going to hell? What about Muslims and Buddhists? Why would “God” even put these people on Earth thousands of years before Christianity was even thought up? To tempt one away from the path? Really? Also, humans wrote the Bible, supposedly God spoke through them, or so they say. Why else would “clauses” like “streets made of gold” and concepts like “whatever tithe you give the church you’ll recieve ten fold when you get to Heaven. Why would you need anything like that in Heaven? Is inflation worse there? Honestly, I think Religion keeps humans in check, and it’s almost needed to keep order.(maybe that was their original intention) I’m all for people living the right way, doing right by others, and being moral and ethical, but it’s people like Benny Hinn that prove my point(if I have one). If there is a God, and he sends his son back, I will have to answer for my beliefs or lack there of. But I’ll have a few minutes or so to do that, while Benny Hinn and people like him are being dealt with first!!!!!!!! Christianity around–about 2000 yrs, America–about 200 yrs, the days of questioning humans with self-serving interests, no matter what their selling–2 far away. Good luck and God Bless America, of course!

    • NAOMI says:

DEAR CONFUSED, YOUR MOTHER IS RIGHT, THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO MAKE IT TO HEAVEN EXCEPT THRU JESUS CHRIST. AND AS FAR AS YOU HAVING A FEW MINUTES TO DEAL WITH ANYTHING, YOU ARE NOT PROMISED ONE SECOND BEFORE YOUR LIFE CAN END WHILE HERE ON THIS EARTH! IT CAN END AT ANY TIME! LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE?????

      • confused says:

Naomi, can you answer any of the questions following my mothers only defense?

        • NAOMI says:

CONFUSED, NONE OF THOSE QUESTIONS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SALVATION. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO HEAVEN EXCEPT THRU JESUS CHRIST, AND YOUR MOTHER IS STILL RIGHT!!

  24. CJ says:

    Who gives a crap…

  25. BStraw says:

I know a lot of pastors whose marriages ended because they neglected their wives on a regular basis and continue to put their “ministry” before their wives and it will not work like that. My brother-in-law is a pastor and has a couples ministry and both he and my sister stress the importance of spending quality time together. You can not get so caught up in your ministry that you push your family to the side. Christ also said for husband’s to love their wives as Christ loved the church and if the wife is consantly being pushed aside then clearly he isn’t loving her like he should. I don’t know if this was the case or not but I’ve seen it happen too many times. For those of you that are having marital problems I urge you to go to my sister and brother-in-law’s site mypace.com/covenenantcouples or find any pastor and wife that has a clear understanding of their roles.

  26. Molly says:

My prayers are with Pastor Hinn and his family during this difficult time.

  27. CJ says:

No one rejoices or gloats over this news! Though, as a Christian, I am not a Hinn supporter (do not agree with his theology), I still am so sorry to hear of this impending divorce. I pray for the intervention of God and the broken, submitted, hearts of the Hinns. Dear God, I know you hate divorce because of the injury to your beloved children, use us to come around the Hinn children and all family members as they struggle through these issues.

  28. Kara says:

Bible Bangers, based on your comments, you’re well on your way to total idiocy.

  29. gr8ce2u says:

Frankly, I would have left this man the minute he slap a person in the head. Jesus is our example of how to live life. There is nothing in God’s word that says, the people were slapped in the head and “slain in the Spirit”. He is an embarrassment to the cause of Christ and God’s church.

  30. Humberto says:

This guy has no business even calling himself a pastor. He is a charlatan whith erroneous prosperity theology. His wife probably caught on to his ways.

  31. nick says:

Pastor Benny is a man of God. All the people that come on the platform at the crusade feel Gods touch. It is not benny hinn who touches them but God. The bible says touch not my annointed and do my prophets no harm. If you were truely worth anything the comment you would have made is lets lift the man of God in prayer

  32. solid rock says:

..wow! so the article says that Pastor Benny and Suzanne are getting divorce and people go off on that and his ministry. It saddens me to know that all those who are ill talking him are those who have sided with the “accuser of the brethren” yes Satan himself..isen’t that his job…to accuse and condemm those who try to live a life pleasing to God…..always looking for some weakness to prey on …like a vulture on a wounded animal……why not pray for the man and his family…..don’t be fooled …..your day of adversity will come…..hope that some one will not judge you but pray….

  33. Tiki Tavi says:

Its bible thumpers. This guy is too busy travleing the world having lots of sex in exchange for healing…..and of course ripping people off.

I do believe in God, as my son survived cancer… but these guys are just money hungry nutters

  34. prince says:

Is unfortunate that we are seeing this type of divorce story , we should think of souls that will be lost and young christains that satan will use this to plant doubts in their mind. pastor Benny and his wife should also remember that this goes beyond them but the christian faith in general. those talking about money do not even remember that the value of a soul cannot be equated with all the money on earth . We should pray that the LORD God should take control and shame the enemy concerning the life of his servant and his family.

  35. NAOMI says:

NONE OF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ANYONE, ESPECIALLY A MAN WHO HAS GIVEN HIS ENTIRE LIFE TO GO OUT INTO THIS WORLD & PREACH THE GOSPEL. GOD DOES USE PEOPLE LIKE BENNY HINN FOR HEALING, HE USES MANY PEOPLE AS HIS INSTRUMENTS TO GET HIS WORK DONE ON THIS EARTH. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU WHO SIT IN JUGEMENT WITHOUT ANY REAL FACTS!! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT HIS WIFE’S FAULT? HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT OTHERS ARE NOT TO BLAME? HOW DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING???? THOSE WHO SIT IN JUDGEMENT ON THE PEOPLE WHOM GOD HAS CHOSEN, WILL SURELY BE JUDGED THEMSELVES. I AGREE WITH JEN. BE VERY CAREFUL WORLD.

  36. Farnorth says:

Benny Hinn’s theatrics are at the least laughable, and at the worst fraud. He is a con man like Elmer Gantry and every one that came before and after. He preys on the poor and the weak just like any predator and takes their money to pay for his lavish lifestyle. And, his wife has been with him every step of the way driving her Bentley, bejeweled and living in a California mansion. Now, her half is so large she just doesn’t need him anymore. She can still have it all without playing along and putting up with his nonsense.

  37. Cassandra says:

It is really sad that the US has so many divorces. I can’t understand why they are not allowing gay’s to be married. They should have the choice to be miserable like the rest of us.

  38. Santo Domingo says:

I would like to invite Him and His wife to my guests house in Santo Domingo may this is just what they need time alone form there normal environment. Contact info William’s Guest House, 718-690-9770/829-375-9174, e-mail oldroad69@hotmail.com call me today or send me an e-mail, and this is an open invitation to all

    • Min. Blake says:

I am surprised at the responses, esp. from ministers wives. A ministers wife is a calling from God, and if you step into it on your own, you ask for trouble. God’s Word tells us to “touch NOT my annointed and do my prophet NO HARM”. That means keeping your mouth off of things that God, if allowed to will handle. If you’re not part of the problem or part of the solution, you should have NO OPINION!

  39. J says:

Many years ago, I held a managment position at World Outreach Ministries. Loved my job and many great people there. Three people died suddenly under mysterious circumstances amidst internal power struggles within BH’s inner circle after investigations ensued.

One of Suzanne’s closest friends confided in me then, she wasn’t happy. I saw enough with my own eyes. If people would stop funding his ministry to the tune of $150 million a year, he’ll go away.

Give to authentic ministries: Keith Moore (www.moorelife.org), Day Star, (www.daystar.com) or Feed The Children (www.feedthechildren.org). I know these people personally and can vouch for their integrity. Wake up, global friends! Be wise…

  40. JakeofClubs says:

    Cassandra – I agree completely.

The “he is human just like you” excuse that religions use is my favorite. It is perfect and really seems unimpeachable.

The scenario used over and over:

Church Leader – “Congregation, you must obey these rules and give money to the church”
Congregation – “OK, it is for our salvation, and you are so Pious, you must be right, just look at the life you live and deeds you do”
    —-Church Leader goes astray.
Congregation – “WTF man you have been lying to us”
Church Leader – “I am only human just like you. Let the one of you who has not sinned be the judge.”

See all the people defending him? Does that not fit this case?

But it is just a trick; here is where the leaders and defenders argument fails.

True we are not without sin but we didn’t ask you to follow us. True we are not without sin but if that makes us unfit for judging, why were you able to before you got caught?

All they are doing is changing the argument and the standards. They are clever so you never notice.

  41. marcus says:

get real people. He is just a man like you and I.He makes a great living telling fairy tales and peole follow like sheep.

  42. Wendi Jones says:

I love Benny Hinn! I watch him every morning! Yes, he asks for money, but that is to support the ministry. It takes a lot of money to rent stadiums and fly all over the world! I am praying for the family. People are so quick to judge men and women of God. You are being used by Satan because he is the accuser of the brethren. If you KNOW enough to judge us, then you should know enough to LIVE RIGHT yourself. I suggest you get in a great church and learn about God. If you read the bible that was written thousands of years ago you will realize that it is being fulfilled and JESUS is SOON to come back! I don’t have time to argue with you or anything like that. I am praying for you though!

  43. JakeofClubs says:

I didn’t really see any response to the Roman Catholic’s comment on this (paraphrased) “this is why our priests don’t marry.”

Yeah because there are never any sex scandals with Roman Catholic priests. Well if a divorce is worse than allowing child abuse, any child abuse, you value system is skewed. I would take 100% divorce in my clergy if it prevented one case of child abuse.

  44. CLEH says:

CUT THE BULL SHIT CRITICISIM! BENNY HINN IS GENUINE AND JUST LIKE OTHER MINISTERS AND EVANGELISTS CAN AND WILL HAVE INTERNAL TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. HE IS DEFINITELY ANNOINTED AND WELL USED BY GOD, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS CONDITIONS WHERE ONE PARTY OR THE OTHER DOES NOT WANT TO CONTINUE WORKING ON THE MARRIAGE. WHEN IT COMES TO THAT POINT, THEN THERE IS NO PREVENTION OF THIS.
    C LEH

  45. Jay says:

It seems to me that his wife can get a really great settlement by threatening to write a tell-all book and then collecting to not write it.

  46. MustangMo says:

Judge not least ye be judged.Who has the right to cast disparity on Benny Hinns wife?Obviously there are issues there that we are not priviledged to know.I have enough problems without adding others to my pile. Its between God and them.Leave it at that. My only question is how does this effect Benny’s ministry? Why can’t he stay married and how flawed is he as a man?He is a sinner just like the rest of us and just as unique, as the rest of us.

  47. BRANDYE says:

i WILL BE PRAYING FOR THIS FAMILY, THE ENEMY CAN HIT US WHEN WE LEAST EXPECT IT AND IN BENNY’S CASE THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED. HIS WIFE KNEW HIS ASSIGNMENT WHEN SHE MARRIED HIM. IF SHE WASN’T UP FOR THE CHALLENGE, SHE SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT MORE ABOUT IT. WHEN SERVING THE LORD NOTHING COMES BEFORE HIM, NOT EVEN FAMILY.I PRAY HIS WIFE WILL HAVE A CHANGE IN HEART AND GET BACK TO HER POST, BY HER HUSBAND SIDE SERVING THE LORD.

  48. JakeofClubs says:

See there is one right there – Wendi. Very quick to say that we are being used by Satan. Rather than answering the accusations about her guy, she is accusing others. The statement “then you should know enough to LIVE RIGHT yourself” not only judges everyone that isn’t a follower but implies only they live right.

And even when it is pointed out, they don’t recognize it.

  49. Twiggy says:

Whaaaaaa! Get over it! Sh!t happens & no preacher OR his family are exempt! Religion is nothing more than brainwash for the gullible & stupid and those who believe in fairy tales! If there were such thing as actual healing don’t you think Mr. Hinn would heal himself?! Ugh!

  50. Lili says:

It would take more restraint than most people are capable of not to fall to pride, vanity and other expressions of ego when one is flooded with the adulation a preacher of Benny Hinn’s fame experiences. Family comes a poor second to the attention the faithful lavish on healers. In many eyes they are the closest a person can get to God in the flesh. What wife can compete with that? No matter how pure the intentions, attention can become addicitive and addictions always come with a high cost, in this case the price paid was Mr. Hinn’s wife and children as they took a back seat to his ministry. If the ministry is that demanding then do not marry and have children, dedicate your life in service to God. It is beyond difficult to serve both with equal devotion.

    • confused says:

Benny Hinn is not a healer, he has never “healed” a human being ever! Anyone who thinks this man is a healer; has eaten the apple, and believed the snake!! Maybe that reference will get some notice.

  51. myil selvan says:

God Bless and be with Pastor Benny Hinn and his wife and help them workout their differences.

  52. Bonnie Hudgins says:

I agree it’s hard to accept “healings” on stage in a big meeting when you don’t know who the person was but I can say I was present at a BH Camp Meeting in Birmingham, AL, about 1980. All the children in the nursery were brought to the alter for prayer and every one of them were slain in the spirit as BH walked by. I don’t think you can practice that with infants in parent’s arms or little ones kneeling at the alter. Every one. It was beautiful to see. I believe he is used in healings by God who does the healing.

    • dummys says:

hows about a game of 3 card monte…Have u seen me levitate yet? I put Chris “Angel” to shame…u mam, r a sucker – stop givin the borderline suckers reason to “believe”… u dolt. His hair is perfect..that should be your first sign.

  53. Light says:

As Children of God we should never bring condemnation to anyone no mater what we think of someone. That is satans job! I dont know if Binny Hinn is a fake or not only God knows and he should only be judged by God and no one else. As for man can not heal that is right, but through God spirt and power we can. Everyone has a gift and some can have the gift of healing. the book of Acts Peter & John healed a lame man in the name of Jesus. If Benny Hinn is faking and steeling from all these people then it is for God to judge. Our job as children of God we just need to pray for him and his family….Please my brother’s and sister’s becareful when juding others. Luke 6:37″Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

    • Truth says:

Typical reaction from people who let themselves be pimped by these false preachers. If he is a faith healer, then he should heal his own marriage like he “heals” all those sick Grandmas.

    • Vonnie says:

I have to agree with you on this. Judging someone on this side of Heaven is what the adversary does. As for children of GOD, we do know, or should I say that we claim we know, that only GOD is the true judge.
If we Christians do what is not right in GOD’s sight, we have to answer for our wrongdoings. We need to continue to edify one another for strength.

    • DAVID PARKS says:

I really enjoyed lights comment about us letting Jehovah be the judge. I know myself, I have at times judged others about thier sittuation. Light is right. We dont know if Benny Hinn is faking and stealing from others, Even though he became a millionaire as a preacher. Our job as children of Jehovah God, Is to pray for Benny Hinn and his family. We really should be careful about judging others.. Jehovah is a wonderful God. He forgave me, It,s time I forgive others. In the name of Jesus, Thank-You Jehovah..

  54. cynic says:

Wonder how many of the Rolls Royces she’ll get in the divorce settlement? And I’m not kidding…he owns a fleet of them.

  55. Atheist says:

I must say, watching you all argue about this is like my two kids arguing who’s more real, the Easter Bunny or Santa. Religion and the bible itself are two parts of the same scam.

    • Randy says:

You sir/madam are in for the shock of your life when the Lord makes his return. I will pray for your soul & hope that your eyes will be opened before that day.

      • Teresa says:

I will certainly second that, Randy.

The Bible says we will all stand before Jesus Christ someday, and all will bow the knee and declare that Jesus is Lord.
One can choose to do it now while there is still time, or they can wait until the Great White Throne Judgement.
I would recommend now, personally. Now is better. Today is the day of salvation. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next year, or ten or twenty years from now.

For those who are afraid of what their friends/family or whoever will think, did that person die for you on a cross, suffering the most excruciatingly painful form of execution ever invented by man? Jesus did this because He loved you so much.
He arose from the dead on the third day, and is in heaven presently and he IS coming back soon.

If you want to ask Jesus into your heart, it is really easy, as easy as ABC.
Admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior. Believe that Jesus came into this world, died on the cross and rose on the third day in your place for your sins. Confess that Jesus is Lord and that He is in your heart.

It’s that easy to be saved and avoid having to pay the penalty for your sins, which I can assure you, you really do not want to pay.

Good deeds won’t get you into heaven. Only having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ will do this.

    • Creek dweller says:

You know you might be right, I said might. But if we are wrong and the end comes who loses, If you are wrong you lose, God Bless.

    • Godsman says:

Excuse me Mr. Atheist why are you haveing a conversation about something that doesn’t exist?

    • JR Jake says:

A scam is when someone takes advantage of another without any benefit to the person except shame, anger and ridicule.

As time goes by archeologists and others are unearthing events and places of the Bible only heard of, and believed by many, but never proven.

Religion in and of itself, is nothing more than a group of people, who may or may not congregate, that allows them to experience a union of fellowship and contributes positively to their life and those they share it with. For many they come from terrible backgrounds and experiences, and when they combine with people who are searching for truth; their lives take on a new shape like never before.

For them religion works and those they share it with soon find answers to many of their questions. Religion is available to everyone, but yet many choose not to believe in anything other than themselves. I would much rather be associated with people who are willing to share many aspects of their life freely and sometimes unconditionally than be surrounded by people who glorify the ‘I’ philosophy.

Give it a chance, you may be surprised beyond your own expectations. Be well.

    • 4real says:

Be careful how you defame the Word of God and His servants. If you are a non-believer, keep your comments to yourself.Who knows, it won’t be six months before you will have to call on God in the time of need.

    • Cult says:

I agree with you, they’re both ridiculous tools people use to feel more powerful and better than the next person.

  56. First Lady says:

I was married to a preacher and waiting now for a divorce. Most of the time, wife and family is not even a good second. I became fed up with being last and everybody else, coming first. On the telephone all day and nught with other with a problem, not thinking about the women in the house with him that had a problem. Him!!

    • I can relate says:

Oh First Lady how I can relate right now. I feel so much better knowing that I’m not the only one that is struggling through this. We are not at a point of sepration/divorce but I do feel like there are a lot of things that come first before me and the children. I guess it could be worse, he could be out at bars or carousing w/friends. I feel guilty because I’m irritated that he’s @ church all day, phone calls, meetings, ministry issues etc. you know how it goes.

    • 4real says:

      First Lady,

You were well aware of what you were getting into before you said “I do.” You wanted to marry a powerful man and you got what you wanted. The only t hing, after a period of time, it wasn’t what you needed.

  57. A says:

The problem is that people put their faith in man instead of in God. I was an alcoholic and in the beginning stages of drugs and when I received Jesus Christ as my Saviour, He changed me. THAT is a miracle. No one can say that did not happen to me…I know it did. I am also an ex-wife of a pastor. The pressures of the church are sometimes to much. That does not mean my Lord is not real. It means we are human and will not be perfect until He comes again.

    • Paula says:

I like your response, we are all are human regardless of the job we have or social stature or whatever. I used to be very involved in my church so I know about the pressures I had just being involved so I can only imagine the pressures felt by those in full time service. We are all given free will and sometimes that means making mistakes-I know I’ve made my share and will make many more!

  58. Atheist says:

    Oh, and please…do some research.

“All the ‘healed’ that the show was able to track down and talk to were not healed and had never heard from the Ministry again. Benny promised on stage to set up a fund for the college education of a blind child, who he said was now healed. When contacted, the child was still blind and had not heard back from the Ministry after two years.”

This is the kind of snake many of you are trying to defend? And it’s ATHEISTS that you think are so awful?

    • Believer says:

@Atheist Why is it every time people like you want to discredit someone, you tell the person you are talking to go find the proof. Seems like you have none. How about you go find the PERSON who created this planet? You won’t find that either.

      • shawn says:

believer you have a problem with your reply.Jesus healed the man with leprosy and he told the man go and show the priest, what about the man in the house that he healed from paralysis? he said take up thy bed and walk, what about the blind man at the pool of siloam?everyone knew he was blind.GOD demands pruff.mo wonder people have doubt about the so called healings.BH told about a cancer falling from someones face and breaking on the floor,he could have just as easly picked it up and put it in a jar like my ex pastor did.dont blame non belivers for not believing because even we know some of this movement is a hoax.another thing that bothers me is the church people don’t have enough faith in GOD in their own church and they send all their money to people who can’t prove they anything they proclaim and the local church constantly struggles.I know GOD instituded the local church and your tithes should support that church.my pastor doesn’t drive a rolls and wear a rolex he lives like me.

    • Troy says:

It’s sad to grow up with so much bitterness and hatred in your heart, and to think you are the very one that Jesus died for!!

    • Athiest, too says:

Thank you, Atheist. When will people start realizing that the stories they read in the bible are no more than that-stories. People can’t stand to believe that there will be an end to their lives. Religious people with delusional dreams about the “afterworld, the rapture, Heaven” are frightening, not Atheists.

      • Teresa says:

Not just stories. They really happened. Archaelogy is uncovering proof of it even now, and continues to do so. There is an article about something of this like on Yahoo today.

What I think is frightening is the idea of people spending eternity separated from God. Now that’s really scary!

This temporal life will end, but then you have to think about eternity. Not believing in it does not make it any less true, no more than believing the wind is not there makes it not exist.

Every one will spend eternity, which is forever and ever, infinity, in one of two places: in God’s presence in heaven, or separated from God’s presence in hell.

I pray you and everyone who reads this will make the right choice.
Personally, I’d rather take my chances with God and His Word. If by some small chance I am wrong and there really is not an afterlife of any sort, then I will be no worse off, but if one chooses not to believe in God’s Word and His person and it turns out He does exist and there is a heaven and a hell, then they are in really big trouble. Big trouble.

  59. Harry says:

It was those wicked Nehru jackets that was the cause for the split. You can’t serve God and a Hinn-du sense of fashion. Can I get an Amen!!!

  60. Relgious Freaks says:

You people are all crazy. Religion is full of nothing but hypocrites. If you really believe in God keep to your self and stop judging others.

    • Pastor says:

There is not one minister on the planet that thinks everyone in their church is perfect. The statement of “their all hypocrites” is the most overused statement I have ever heard. It’s the only thing that most who want to make an excuse for sin in their life uses.If you are looking for the perfect church, don’t go, you’ll mess it up! And if you find it, let us all know, with you being the expert in serving the Lord and all.

    • Teresa says:

Why should I keep my opinion to myself in this case when you have made your opinion so clear?

    • God'schild says:

By saying we are hypocrites by judging are you not also judging? My saying what I just said also puts me in your boat, but I have Savior who will forgive me, how about You?

    • Troy says:

It sounds like you are the one doing the judging sir. Take your own advice.

    • rockitman says:

I have kept to myself the majority of my life and I label myself a Christian.I judge no man for his thoughts or beliefs, creed or color.Unless you have no heart, soul, conscious or moral(concern for life)you will not understand this.Any person that does, ask your SELF Do I want to be accepted for who I am?Everyone wants to be unless you are denying your heart a true feeling.I can say mean things and argue and apply applications of Bible stories to everyday life, but it takes someone with an open heart and open eyes to see the Truth.I do not know you,but my Lord tells me to love you.So for that I Love you.If this offends you in any way for this I am sorry.

  61. TF says:

There are sex scandals everywhere Jake of Clubs. Everywhere!!

  62. joyce says:

If Benny Hinn is a fake, then his words and deeds would show it. Does He believe that Jesus is God in the flesh? According to First John, then, he is not a fake/ Are reprehensible and Satanic deeds independently verified? No. You only deduce that because he is an evangelist, he must be a fake and you read into everything else wrong motives.
Remember the “unforgivable sin.” The Pharisees said that Jesus deeds were of the Devil, and they comitted that sin. Don’t follow in their footsteps by condemning any man’s “gifts” just because you have suspicions, until you are absolutely sure with uncontrovertible facts that he works for Satan and not for the true God.

    • pastor rob says:

I would like to see him heal a child with ‘Down syndrome.’

You know what’s worse than a Slave Trader? A Faith Healer that cannot heal, both are using human beings as merchandise, both are in it for the money.

      • mason says:

Well stated. How about a limb lost in war? You certainly won’t see that on t.v. That would really make headlines.

      • a believer says:

How sad, that you call yourself a “pastor”, but have never layed hands on the sick & seen them healed.

        • pastor rob says:

How sad is it that it takes the TV show like 20/20 to expose so many of these guys as money grubbing con-artists.

Why doesn’t the church have enough Spiritual Insight to makes “these calls” for themselves?

          Consider: 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

God does Heal! He is the only one who can…while Physical healing is nice…spiritual healing (having your sins forgiven) is the only healing that really is of any value in the end!

Benny and his ilk love money, they love the things money can buy for them…don’t you have eyes to see and ears to hear? Why can’t you understand that? For it is “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil!”

    • Mason says:

The only reason that people come to Christ is because the Gospel is preached. God’s word will not return void. However, Benny Hinn has repeatedly violated & twisted scripture and has refused correction by Godly peers. You people who continue to support and approve of this man are deceived beyond all hope. To criticize Benny Hinn is not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Remember, Jesus Himself said many will come to me and say “Lord, Lord didn’t we [perform] in your name…” He’s nothing more than a performer and I can’t wait for his wife to tell her story.

      • HG Recipient says:

For Mason—If you have received the Holy Ghost you would know that Benny Hinn is a man of God.No guessing –God shows you.You know not what you speak. When you speak ill of God’s children you are in for trouble according to scripture.

        • mason says:

For HG – if you’ve received the Holy Spirit, God gives you discernment. Followers of BH check their brains at the door of ignorance.

  63. riverman says:

It comes down to one thing. Either you believe the Word or you don’t. Those who profess to know Him and live opposite will
pay a price for sin, now in this lifetime.

    • RIVERMAN says:

There are consequences for our actions.
Be them good or bad. God uses people to achieve His purpose. People use people to achieve their purpose also. Be it good or bad. Few do something and get paid nothing. Most who do something (work) get paid. You can compare an evangelist with a teacher. They both work and they both get paid. Doctor means teacher, you pay him and sometimes you get nothing.

    • Diane says:

God will shine the light on sin, none will remain in darkness. If there is something hidden, you can rest assured it wont be long until it is revealed.

  64. belva says:

all of the tv “so called evangelist are scammers” Benny Hinn couldn’t heal mequitoe bit.God is the only person who can heal. Ask youself what makes him so special? God has no respect of person. If he gave Benny healing power, we would all have them. Let God be true, and every man a liar.

    • Patsy says:

Is it fair to accuse ALL evangelists because of the sins of others that have fallen? Benny would be the first to agree with you that he is not a healer–BUT God through him is the healer–the healing annonting flows through Benny as the Spirit wills.Just as God gives different gifts to those as He wills. Christians are all of the same Body of Christ, but all have different parts (functions) within the body. We need different gifts and functions to make the body whole. Let us not judge others during difficult times, for we all know in part. Blowing out another man’s candle will never make your’s shine any brighter! Be mindful to pray for the Hinn family.

    • Nancy says:

Hi Belva, I saw your comment and wanted to shed some light on it. You are right in saying God is no respecter of persons but He is a repecter of faith and a respecter of ministry callings. If you read 1 Cor. 12:28-31 and Eph. 4:11-16 you will see that God gave different ministry offices to different people and each office has its own “spiritual equipment” that accompanies it. The evangelist’s office has the gift of healings and working of miracles to show people that God is real and that He loves them. Once people receive the Lord, they need a pastor to teach them God’s Word so pastors usually have a teaching gift, etc. In God’s Kingdom, we are all His children but we have different callings and functions. Benny Hinn is an evangelist which is why he has the gift of healings and working of miracles. Another minister, called to a different office, will have different gifts but it is all the same Lord doing the work and they are all important. Hope this helps!

      • shawn says:

nancy you need to read more and interpit less. Jesus said these signs shall follow those that believe,in MY nam they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents ,and if THEY drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them,HE also said that THEY would lay hands on the sich and THEY shall recover.you have the catholic mindset, they only believe the pope and cardinals and priest have a valid ok to serve at the LORDS table.who are they?its me and you is the answer.

    • Virtuouslady says:

Belva….You speak Incorrectly regarding the dispensation of the Gifts of The Spirit. The Bible says..
      ****************************

      1 Corinthians 12
      Spiritual Gifts
1Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 2You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

You are completely correct in your statement Light.
Noone should say what is fake without being cautious. Although we are living in a world where false prophets are misleading ppl daily, we need to understand that it is not there individual performing these miracles it is God. Anyone can be an instrument for God to use but we must first be subjected totally to him. We all have been given spiritual gifts and only God could judge who is real or fake. Do your research and look to see if the individuals fruits does not contradict what the Bible is saying because at the end of the day the “Word” is what will bring clarification.

But divorce can sometimes leave horrible scars…I will say a prayer for strength for them. And for the aethist who left a comment ahead of me; I have never met an atheist—do you drive a car? do you travel by plane? do you eat in resturants? Just curious.. thank you

    • Ram says:

Atheists do everything anyone else does. You probably know some, but they might not be open about it. As an atheist I have a high moral code to live up to: A Thoughtful Honest Ethical Intelligent Skeptical Thinker. I always try to do the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do. I work, drive, fly, dive, eat out, see movies, I’m close to my christian family and I have friends of all faiths. There are angry atheists that are not pleasant to talk to or be around, just like I’ve had religious people up in my face. All I can do is be the best person I can, and I do that without having belief in a higher power. Thanks for your curiosity and not condemnation.

I think it is too bad that Suzanne is filing for divorce. The damage that is done to reputations and the cause of Christ is too great, and not worth the supposed and predicted alleviation of her pain. If Benny had been unfaithful in adultery I can see that divorce would be justified, as he would have been the one to break the marriage vows and put her health in jeopardy, but other than physically beating her up or adultery, I think she is wrong.
As far as healing goes, I know that God does heal. Some mortal men do possess the gift of healings, but it is of course God’s power that does it. I was sitting in a church service where a very humble man, who was not wealthy, and had himself experienced a miraculous healing on his deathbed in a hospital, was used of God in a healing service. The right side of my tongue had been numb for over 5 years from a misplaced shot of novacaine at the dentist’s office. It wasn’t a terrible malady, but made eating an ice cream cone a strange experience. I hadn’t told anyone about this since moving across the country to a new state. He said, “There is someone here who has a problem with their tongue. It isn’t a sore, and I don’t really know what it is, but you know who you are.” I had silently prayed to God just minutes before that to heal my tongue, not because it was a big distress to me, but rather because I wanted members of my family to become Christians, and I wanted the healing for a witness to them so they would believe me. I shot out of my chair, and went forward, where he prayed for me. Nothing happened at first, but 10 minutes later in my chair I felt brief shooting pains in my tongue. Within a few days the feeling was back about 80%, which it has stayed at for many years now. It seems strange that it is 80 and not 100, but I am thankful. PS- I didn’t do anything myself, like biting or twisting my tongue, or taking any medicines to make it better. It is indeed a miracle of healing, and a demonstration of the word of knowledge, also.

      Acts 4
Peter and John Before the Sanhedrin
1The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. 2They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. 3They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day. 4But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
5The next day the rulers, elders and teachers of the law met in Jerusalem. 6Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and the other men of the high priest’s family. 7They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?”

8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11He is
” ‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the capstone.[a]‘[b] 12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

13When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. 15So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together. 16″What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everybody living in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny it. 17But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn these men to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

18Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. 20For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

21After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. 22For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

      The Believers’ Prayer
23On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. 25You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:
” ‘Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
26The kings of the earth take their stand
      and the rulers gather together
      against the Lord
and against his Anointed One.[c]‘[d] 27Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people[e] of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. 28They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. 29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

  71. Tami O says:

ok, 1st of all: the people who say we can’t judge- BS! we have to judge, but in light of scripture. It says to “judge not lest ye be judged”. That means WHEN you judge, be prepared to be judged the same way. Use God’s standards or your own selfish ones, the choice is yours, but beware if you don’t use God’s. How can you determine things are of God or not if you don’t TEST them as Paul says. Then, to “Confused”: Jesus was a Jew, but he fulfilled all the Jewish laws and prophecies that point to Him as Messiah – so Judaism is not a completion of God’s plan full plan for mankind. Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. MUST all accept Christ as their Savior or He will tell them, “I don’t know you” when it is time to move on in the Afterlife. Would you let a stranger come live in your house if he came to the door and he merely said he was nice & you could trust him? No! Furthermore, Christianity was only known to us 2000 yrs. ago, but Jesus was in Spirit before He came to earth and He created it. So it actually predates all man-made religions in existence. God used these men of the Bible to write His story down for us. The word “inspired” means “God-breathed” (like “in spirit” as the word is spelled). It has over 300 prophecies that are for proving it is indeed the Word of the one true God. All one need do is research them and hold them to scrutiny. No mere man could ever gather up 40 something authors writing over a 1600 yr. time period and have all the books pointing to the same person in a cohesive story line. It is truly an amazing book. That is why you can’t get rid of it and throw it out once & for all. What we do here for people in the Lord’s name is rewarded in Heaven. Not cash money! Real rewards that will have lasting joy. I agree “religion” with many is a joke. We don’t want religion, we want a relationship with our Creator. That is all He wants to. That is why He came and died a horrible, humiliating death for each person here, so they could accept his sacrifice and not go to Hell, which is a person’s choice to go to because they choose not to be in His eternal family. God loves them so much He lets them have their wish. I pray you earnestly seek the Truth and find it in the person of Jesus Christ, the ONLY one who died specifically for you, to live with Him forever.

P.S.: Benny Hinn is a false prophet by God’s own words – if his “word from the Lord” doesn’t come to pass, he is a false prophet. BH failed that test years ago…

your post makes no sense.Jesus died for you so that you could live and have a chance to go to heaven. He fed 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.

      • Teresa says:

Jesus came to this world for the express purpose of reconciling the world unto God. The Bible speaks of the Lamb of God (Jesus) being slain from the foundation of the world (See Revelation 5).
Medically speaking, He should have been dead before He even got to the cross.
I don’t know if you ever saw “The Passion of the Christ” but even as graphic as that was in portraying the crucifixion, it only scratches the surface of what Jesus went through that day.
Try being on a massive sleep deficit for starters, as He got no sleep the night before all this happened. He was under such great stress, his sweat became as drops of blood, a condition known as hemato-hydrosis. Lest you think I am making this up, I have read medical articles that say that this condition happens under extreme stress.
Imagine that you know you are going to be put to death without the benefit of a fair trial and that this death is going to be really bad.
Fast forward a few hours. You have been found guilty in a kangaroo court and are being beaten with a cat o nine tails. This whip has bits of metal and bone in it. The soldiers whose job to do this are merciless, totally without any human compassion. Your back is torn into ribbons. They have forced a crown of thorns on your head, and not gently either, but as meanly as they possibly could. Your beard has been ripped and plucked out.
You have a massive blood loss, but these people don’t stop. They make cruel fun of you and put a very heavy beam on your shredded back, expecting you to carry it and then they drive hails though your hands and feet, right through the nerves.
You try to breathe, but have to do so by pushing yourself up by your feet, which also have nails in them. Pain all around, no matter what you do.
        You eventually suffocate to death.
Now if that is taking the weak way out, I would hate to hear your idea of taking the strong way out.
He did this for you and for everyone else in this world who has ever lived, who is living now and who will ever live. He did this to save you from a place that is far, far worse than anything you can ever imagine, a place that we were all doomed to.
Basically your choices are these: accept this sacrifice I have just described that Jesus was willing to do in your place and in mine, or attempt to pay the penalty for your sins yourself, which I assure you, you cannot do, in this awful place I allude to. The choice is yours. I pray you make the right one.

    • Not A Prophet says:

He is not a prophet at all. That is not his calling. His calling is the healing ministry. You seem to know some of the Bible. If you had the Holy Ghost you would not be confused. You would see everything clearly. That is why God does not show everyone the depths of His word.Because they get twisted. And there is a reason why God tells us not to judge. We are not worthy to judge another because we are not without sin.

I have been to countless Benny Hinn meetings, sang in the choir and watched him on TV since the early 80′s. Never ONCE did I hear him take any credit for anyone’s healing. Quite the contrary. He ALWAYS gives all the credit and glory to the Son, Jesus, who paid the price for sin and healing of every kind. If you are not Born Again by the Spirit, you won’t understand anything you see regarding ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible says it is foolishness to you. Therefore, really, your opinions can have no effect. Either Jesus is Who He says He is or He isn’t. I personally know Him (Jesus) and believe He is and ministers who preach and teach Christ are who I listen to. If you don’t, that is perfectly alright. As I said, you won’t “get it” at least not here. But the Day will come when Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God.

I think that we should be very careful to speak such things about Benny Hinn or anyone else for that matter. God knows what is just, what is right, what is good, and what is truth. So many times we are just sitting and waiting for an opportunity to see the bad in others, or to doubt others. If we would take all of that strength to keep ourselves on track, we would have not time to try to keep up with what others are or are not doing. We are a selfish people when we can look at the problems of others and not see that, “But by the grace of God, we all are but filty rags”. What makes us think that we have a right to point fingers at this man and his family who must be hurting. We should instead be compassionate and loving toward him, his wife, his children, his family, not because of anything that we may think that he did, but because he and his family are hurting. We as a people have lost love for one another. Jesus said that He came with a new commandment that “We love one another” Why? Because loving one another covers all of the original 10 commandments of Moses. People! People! stop being so hateful and just love one another as well as Benny Hinn and his family, in Jesus Name!

as a reformed “born again christian” i feel that i can make a comment, my dad became “born again” when i was 10 years old and lets just say it made him nuts, he is a mess in regards to organized religion, and I have never been screwed over HARDER by a non christian as i have been by a so-called christian, my ex wife and her family screwed me so hard its not even funny, had absolutly no compunction of trying with all her might to destroy my life and my relationship with my children, im finiancly getting back on my feet(after 3 years of total HELL) but my relationship with them is destroyed never to be fixed again (only so she could rape me for a freaken ridiculious amount of childsupport) now, Mr. Hinn is by his own religion and bible that he so clings to IS A FALSE PROFIT and should never be listened to, by his own “word of god” it clearly states what it takes to be what he claims to be, and he hasnt lived up to that standard, ive been watching this crack pot for years, (just to get a good laugh from time to time) he is a con man plan and simple,(as are all pastors IMO) i feel really truly sorry for anyone who buys into his nonsense, you should stop being sheep lead to slaughter and think for yourself, please i beg you, to many people in this world are sheep, you need to stop letting relgion and politicians think for you, thats whats truly destroying this world, last time i checked NO ONE has ever come back from the dead, yeah yeah i know “but jesus did” my question is, did you see it?,where you there? or did you read it in a book? ive read lots of fantasical things in books in my life time, one guy can fly faster than a speeding bullet, another can cling to walls and shoot webs from his wrists, and one even had a magic ring that controlls them all, and that wizard keeps coming back to life to fight evil, if god wanted all to be saved and come to redemption then why are there so many screwed up versions of the same religion, so many version of the same bible(trust me they are not all the same bible), other non christion faiths claiming to be the “one true faith of humanity” look at the Muslim failth, per their doctrin they are to convert the infidel (thats you) to the Muslim faith and if they do not, then they are obligated to kill you, granted thats the hardline fundimentalism of it, but a teneant of the faith non-the-less, IMO ALL religions are false and they are truly what Joeseph Stalin said they were “the opiate of the masses” so the long and the shprt of it is, that Mr. Hinn is getting exactly what the rest of us get…….. LIFE! ITS A -ITCH AINT IT! so suck it up and deal with the highs and lows like the rest of us!

He wants a relationship with you, but He will not force you. He is a gentleman, unlike the devil, who WILL try to force you.
You are free to make your own choice in the matter, but I pray you will make the right one. Your eternal soul is in the balances.

  85. Bobby Jarrell says:

The Bible teaches Christians to “Cast not your pearls before the swine lest they turn and lacerate you.” In this environment, it is best to follow that admonition because it also says that “the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit, neither can he know them because they are spiiritually discerned.”

  87. Ryan says:

Guy’s, by no means let someone who says he is a prophet of God, and is indeed doing wicked things keep you from God. This is the man messing up, NOT GOD. God’s ways still hold true! Follow God, not the man giving the word. A true man of God follow’s the lords word, and not money/fame or any wicked way’s. I dont know this guy, but know of a few preachers who hadbeen portraying to be a man of the word, but in there lives they are living wicked. The bible says your sins will find you out. Well that is true, both preachers where having affairs, and where not right with God. Now some people of there Churches have no relationship with God, nor go to Church. These 2 men hurt the word, and did not glorigy it.Moral of the story is to look to God, and his word, do not let a man come between you and God. Find another Church where the word is lifted and glorified, never let man come between you and Jesus.
The more you get in the word, the more it all makes since. The lords word is AWESOME!

  88. Jer says:

For all of you claiming Benny Hinn is not from God. He is a man of God. Some people say if his”word from the Lord” doesn’t come to pass, he is a false prophet. Well I disagree. there are many factors that play in the role. First Benny is a human. Sometimes everyone hears from God wrong. And sometimes even things spoken by God are more of warnings, so when people pray for those things it reverses the outcome. Hence, things sometimes not coming to pass as first predicted.

And Jesus gave us authority to heal the sick with the power of the Holy Spirit that lives and dwells inside us. Even see his disciples went out healing all the sick. Yes it is God who is the healer, but He can heal through us. As of laying on with hands, anointing with oil, whatever. I believe Benny Hinn was a man of God. Can’t argue about that. Every human also makes mistakes and dumb decisions sometimes. so what. Just because someone is a preacher, man of God, healer, whatever, even just plain Christian doesn’t mean they are perfect angels. So no one should be arguing about things in his life unless he is living in blatant repeated sin.

what are you saying?Daniel,Ezekiel Hosea,Isaiah were human and their prophicies have or will come to pass.you’re giving a pass to BH hinn lioke Joseph Smith gave to himself when he had a revelation about his people was to go to canada to sell the BOOK of mormon, when the men got back and couldn’t sell the rights to the BOM ,he was on the spot and he quickly worked his way of his delima and he said almost exactly what you said to keep his standing with his flock.BH lied about his father being the mayor of Jaffa,he said GOD healed him from stuttering and his own family said that wasn.t true.In Flrida some of his actors setting on the front row admitted his slaying was phony and BH quickly moved from that church because he was found out.Its like Isaiah said they have eyes but they cant see and have ears but they can’t hear.

  89. Pastor Jerry says:

You know the day is fast approaching when we will all be amazed at the Glory of God. You who do not believe, I feel sorry for you and if someone caused you to go against God, which is usually the case, I apologize for them. God loves you, just as He loves all of us, and just like He loves Pastor Benny. Benny Hinn has never taken any credit for healing people. He gives all of the glory to God. Whoa to all of you who speak ill of him, or for anyone, regardless if they are a believer or not. There are hypocrites in every church, and every walk of life, we can’t get away from them. That doesn’t mean you have to be one to go to church. I will guarantee you that there are people who walk in the power of the God many of you do not believe in. The power of His great love is the power that works all the miracles today. I will end this way. If you who do not believe are right, I can actually say I am ready to die, but if we who believe are right, are you ready to face the God I represent. If you do not fear, you better be ready to face an eternal separation from the grace you now live in. Selah

    • Teresa says:

      Well spoken.
I don’t know where Benny Hinn stands with God presently, whether he is a true man of God or not, as I am not that familiar with his ministry.
As a very wise person once said, if you don’t understand something, then keep your mouth shut and pray about it.

  90. John Duerwaechter says:

There are scriptures regarding divorce. The scripture says ehat God hates divorce,Malachi 2:14 and you should always keep yourself in a reconclable condition. also 1 Corinthians 7 Paul prophecies about marriage and the marriage rules. i hope brotherbenny and his wife can reconcile this, and get throughthis, because satan wants to tear marriages apart. Let us pray for the salvation of Bennys and Suzannes marriage in Jesus name! Matt 19:9-only in cases of adultery may a man put away his wife.

  91. Wake Up America says:

This is another wake up call for America and the world for that matter. Man will fail you, but Jesus and the Love of God never fails. If you put your trust in a man, get ready to be disappointed.

As far as some of the comments left here, it’s apparent they have no realationship with Jesus Christ. One word to you, and you can take it to the bank. There are NO DEAD ATHEIST WHO DON’T NOW BELIEVE IN GOD! The problem is they are in eternity, and can not come back for a redo. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart right now, and forgive you of all your sins. He’s only a chat away, and you can have eternal life with him in heaven. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no man comes unto the Father but by him. You can’t get there through Buddah, Mohammad, or any other false God or religion.

Were not talking about religion here people, we are talking about a relationship with the creator of the universe. Those that mock at this, will stand before the Lord at the Great White Throne Judgement. Then we shall see what you have to say, oh will you say but I don’t believe in you God? Right in front of God, he will say depart from me you worker of iniquity, for I never knew you. Please folks, don’t allow yourselfs to be in that Judgement day. Eternity in hell or heaven is at stake, and your soul is in the balance. You will be in eternity within the next 100 years, and life is but a vapor and then it passes away! WAKE UP!

  92. Pastor's Wife says:

I’ve been married to a pastor for 30 years – married the same year as Hinn and his wife. If you are going to be in the full-time ministry, you have to count the cost. Christians MUST realize that it’s not “about me”. It’s about JESUS. Does that mean sacrifice? Yes it does. Does that mean dinners without your husband at times? Yes. Does that mean you may be going to your kids’ soccer games alone? Sometimes. My kids were raised with a loving father who wasn’t there all the time. They knew his calling and understood, because we took the time to explain it. Were they upset at times when dad was gone? Sure they were. They are all grown now, completely mature and well adjusted adults who love Jesus and have their own personal relationship with Him. I am happily married and wouldn’t choose another man to spend my life with. It’s been quite a ride so far, and I look forward to another 30 years with this man.

Regarding Hinn, this man has been teaching false doctrine for years. The book of Numbers in the Old Testament says “your sin will find you out”. I am sorry that he and his wife are divorcing, but you reap what you sow. He has put material possessions at the forefront. In this economy, a minister does NOT drive a Rolls when the vast majority of his parishioners drive 1990′s Honda’s or Chevy’s. Hinn has not been a representative of Jesus Christ – he has taught things that aren’t in the Bible, and now the chickens have come home to roost.

And you Christian haters out there – please, show some class. You want people to be tolerant and accepting of your lifestyle choice – do us the same please. Yes there are hypocrites in the church, but that doesn’t mean every Christian is like Benny Hinn. There are plenty of good eggs out there, but once in a while you do get a rotten one. Don’t be so hateful!

    • Teresa says:

Pastor’s Wife, with regards to being a minister’s wife, well said.
The wife has to be willing to live the life of one called to the ministry, just as her husband is, even if he is the one everyone sees and she is the one in the background. It is not an easy life and it is not for everyone. There are often considerable sacrifices to be made here, and one is wise to count the cost.
The saying that behind every good man is a good woman is true. That man needs his wife’s support in this job, just as any man with a any demanding job would. Her prayers are worth more than anything, as he deals with all kinds of things, some things that would make most people’s hair stand on end at times. It’s like that when you are involved with people’s lives, especially those who are struggling for whatever reason. You never know what you are going to hear.
Congrats on being married 30 years and still going strong. It sounds like you are truly blessed in this. Please never take that for granted, as I assure you there are many who would love to be able to have the blessing you have. You give the rest of us more hope than you know.
PS. I agree that people should show some class here.

  93. maxvocalz says:

He heals if you believe you are healed, thus it comes from YOUR faith, not his. Before each show, potential candidates are interviewed, and a decision is made whether or not he will perform a “healing.” My mom believed, but when they asked her what her problem was and she told them pervasive cancer throughout her body, they told her he wouldn’t be able to see her. She had traveled from Atlanta to California, and this was the final blow for her, may she rest in peace. HIs wife doesn’t believe, and neither do I. Only God through Jesus Christ can heal, and Benny Hinn, is not Jesus Christ.

  94. keith harper says:

if benny hinn is not being a husband and supplying the need or cheating or beating her i can see but anything else i cant see thirty years is a long time to finally file a divorce these guys are to old for any other bs that not worth it does she want to pursue a modeling career or something give me a break she shouldnt get one dime you guys are going to die of old age soon get a grip and just deal with it

  95. LAMARM says:

that goes to show you even the most religous people in
the world are not safe from divorce. why do people even bother!

  96. Mary says:

I agree with Confused, Mr. Hinn is purported to be a channel of God’s grace, his claim being that he has no inherent power to heal but that God heals through him. IMHO I have a difficult time believing the humble Galilean would be thrilled with Mr. Hinn’s rock star acclaim and income. Yes being a preacher’s wife is a particular calling, however being a husband and father is a calling too. As a man of God you can not neglect those especially entrusted to your care, your primary ministry of husband and father, without tarnishing your ability to minister beyond that first and most important role. You are to be the priest of the family and while it is certainly not as profitable in terms of fame and fortune as a ministry as large as Benny’s has grown it is infinitly more important.

  97. Sandy Phillips says:

Let’s leave the family alone to work out their marital problems. While I believe BH does have a call on his life I also know, from experience, that being a minister’s wife is a big challenge. Only the grace of God, good counseling and a determination to make the marriage work will heal the hurt and restore the relationship.

  98. khpage says:

Hinn’s impending divorce, along with many others which have happened in the last half of the preceding century, as well as these last ten years, remind me of the Scripture: “….because evil is multiplied, the love of many shall grow cold…”. Insofar as his “ministry” is concerned, I am also reminded of the Scripture: “…and many, having itching ears, shall take unto themselves teachers of their own liking..” In the last days people will reject sound doctrine for the poorer substitute of personal emotion. If you also consider the job application of a pastor/teacher that such should not be “greedy for gain” then a fair number of such would fail that test hands down. I fear for some of these that they might find themselves in Matthew 7 arguing with God about what they had done in His name and finding themselves being thrown out by Him. Insofar as judgement is concerned, we do NOT have the legal right to condemn someone/anyone to eternal damnation. Jesus is the only One who has that right and authority. However, it is also written that “the spiritual man judges all things…”. History and God will judge Benny Hinn and others of similar ilk more than adequately, IMHO.

  99. pam says:

Im not surprised by the news. I never felt a good spirt from him. remeber the scripture, surely your sins shall find you out. I hope he prays for guidance in a geunine manner.

  100. Richard says:

Nothing like seeing a scheister get his! I’m sick of these high-priced fake preachers. I’m also tired of the “prosperity gospel” of which these “men of God” are firm believers in. I hope she at least takes half of everything, then maybe the Lord can heal Benny’s poverty! Praise the Lord and Pass the Collection Plate!
