Hilarious and adorable Betty White may just be the new host of the popular show SNL! After Betty’s Super bowl commercial, a Facebook user named David Mathews began a fan page and petitioned to get Betty a hosting role on the show! He then contacted NBC and they seemed to have listened! Currently over half a million Facebook users have signed the petition.

Betty White is popular for her role on The Golden Girls as the clueless bimbo Rose and also played a more serious reoccurring role on Boston Legal as Catherine Piper. She is also known for her various roles on the big screen. Betty is 88 years old but seems to be going strong in her off screen life and in her on screen life. Betty could be one of the oldest women to ever host the popular show.. If she does in fact get the SNL host gig, she will host alongside SNL host veteran Molly Shannon.

Nothing is set in stone quite yet so let’s be sure not to get our hopes up! NBC is still in the process of figuring out details with Ms. White. However, there is the possibility that Betty will be the next host saying the words“ Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night”.
