Tiger and Elin Apologize to Parents at Daughter’s School

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have apologized to parents of children of their daughter’s school. The apology comes in the form of a letter that has apparently been sent out to each parent.

Sorry

The scandal hit Woods family has been forced to issue the apology, in fear that their daughter’s tenure at the Premier Academy may be affected.

Recent issues regarding Tiger Woods infidelity have sparked much controversy over recent months, forcing the golfing superstar to remove himself from various golfing events. He has also made front pages due to losing an advertizing contract with Gatorade.

The apology reads: “We would like to share our appreciation for your support over the past several months and offer our personal apology for any inconvenience you are experience due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children … In the meantime, it is our goal to keep life as normal as possible for our children. We are sure that as parents you can appreciate that. For Sam, that normalcy means attending the school that she enjoys so much.”

Therapy and Repair

After undergoing therapy for what Tiger Woods and medical officials described as an ‘addiction to sex’, both Woods and his wife Elin are trying to rekindle their faltered relationship.

Tiger has admitted his faults and has stated that he wishes to try and rebuild his relationship with his wife and family.

He also admitted that his stardom made him feel like he was in a position to get what he wants. His recent personal apology has not gone down well with many media outlets, although it does seem that Elin is prepared to give tiger a second chance, for now.

My prayers go out to Tiger,Elin and Family. I believe that marriage is an institution ordained of God who hates divorce. Elin, be strong and of good courage. Forgiveness is easy, forgetting… not so easy. Take one day at a time. Tiger, everything you need to defeat your addiction is within you now. He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone. My bible says All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All, not some…All. If you confess your sin God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and to cleanse you from All unrighteousness. Be Free.

    • KLS says:

Who in the world are you to speak for God and say that he hates divorce. I am a very devote person myself, but do not believe that we, mere mortals, should ever speak for God. We can speak of our beliefs and back up those beliefs with scripture, but to speak for God is the ultimate in prideful boasts. I hate it when people have the nerve to believe that they are God’s mouthpiece.

      • Christin says:

Your comment is wrong. The bible says that God hates divorce. Exact words. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Last time I checked, we have the authority to speak God’s word over any situation, and if she uses it to encourage a woman to remain in her marriage and forgive her husband, that is completely appropriate. I was in the same situation, and I was able to forgive, and that verse, along with others, gave me the strength and desire to stick it through.

Because you feel the need to condemn someone for their opinion I feel the need to tell you that while attending marriage classes with the Pastor from the Methodist Church I attend, we discussed my being Catholic and unable to be married in the Catholic Church without an annulment. He said God hates divorce, not the person getting divorced. And yes I am pretty sure God did send people to be his mouthpiece. Not that any of what you felt the need to write had anything to do with the Tiger Woods artice. You need to get a life.

Who gives a hoot what the public think- If Erin can forgive theTiger’s transgressions and if the Tiger is truly sorry, God can and will forgive him too. Go Tiger!!!!

  5. Suellen R. Rampacek says:

To the media: Leave Tiger alone. It’s not up to the media to punish. Let him without sin cast the first stone. I believe Tiger’s apology was sincere.

tiger must come out and staight out the media world or the so called realty news people.tigers personal life is not the worlds business and i would not like people knowing my personal life would you? good luck tiger hope to see you on tour.

  7. Darrell Lewis says:

Paparazzi should not have pictures of children, that is porn, pure & simple. Elin and Tiger need to resolve their own differences and both need to hear each other.

  8. Thomas Smith says:

Leave the children out of this! Tiger made some very poor choices and is working through his mistakes. Elin is making choices of her own and are “her” choices to make. The kids dont get a choice in any of this so leave them alone and stay away from them at all times – even when their with Tiger and Elin – totally off limits. Having two children 4yrs and 8 yrs I cant imagine a bunch of crazed media coming near them for any reason. The kids are not the story so let them be. As far as Tiger and Elin – the story has been told so leave them to work this out on their own terms and they dont owe any of us any explanations. Tiger has give me a golf fan alot of enjoyment and I hope he returns to the tour soon and hopefully with a happy family with him. Advise for Tiger – hang out with a few “regular folks” once in awhile and try to stay more grounded – alot of us are rooting for you.

  9. Betty Dunn says:

The only person Tiger needs to apologize to is his wife. The media and the world can stay out of it.

  10. KESM says:

    Hey…

His competitors should be intimidated…he’s clearly better than the top players in the past/present field. I don’t agree that the spectators are silenced by intimidation…they’re silent ’cause his high level of game play is highly anticipated and no one wants to be a distraction to that. Every stroke of his club has the potential of making history when he’s competing. They’re simply aren’t any other golfers bringing that caliber of skill and talent to a golf field…so…they don’t get the attention or ‘hush factor’ that Woods enjoys at every hole. His brillant golf game has made him a well known celebrity. Society’s preoccupation with his personal life clearly demonstrates this. That is…I don’t know of any other golfer whose personal life has garnered this level of attention (good or bad). And I’m certain there are other golfers who’ve had affairs or suffered from personal tradegy (self-affliction or not). Tiger Woods has offered the public nothing revolutionary in that regard. The media has chosen to follow this story because of his celebrity…it’s good business for those in the media to do so. Anything Tiger…increases viewership, readers, venue sales, etc. Tiger must get back to what made him famous…playing great golf. And the public will likely put his personal life aside and refocus on recognizing him for the great golfer that he is…the greatest to have ever played the game of golf.
