Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh, is making headlines with her new haircut. On February 23, the 3 1/2 year-old was spotted shopping in Paris with her parents and sporting a new cropped hairstyle. The haircut is very short, with bangs in the front.
Shiloh recently saw the movie “Peter Pan” and fell in love with the story. Brad Pitt has stated that she wants to be called “John” or “Peter”, after the movies characters. He said, “She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a ‘Peter Pan’ thing. So we’ve got to call her John, ‘Shi, do you want…’ – ‘John. I’m John.’ And then I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’”
The blonde Shiloh’s love of Peter Pan may have been the inspiration for her new haircut. The pixie cut has become tabloid fodder and the subject of much debate. While many celebrity followers find the cut to be adorable on Shiloh, other feel the style is too severe and masculine for a little girl. Shiloh is also seen in paparazzi photos wearing androgynous clothing, which adds fuel to the fire in the debate over whether Shiloh’s overall look is too boyish.
Another girl child destined for “what am I….girl or boy…via her wardrobe. Sad.
How is this news and why does anyone care? Shiloh is their daughter, not yours or mine. Leave them be.

Shiloh’s hair was cut off by one of the older kids. You can see there are chunks still missing in the front and back. She’s also had her teeth broken. They need to protect her better from the older kids.
