Friday night, Marie Osmond’s 18 year-old son, Michael Blosil, allegedly jumped to his death from a downtown Los Angeles apartment building. While there was a suicide note left and the autopsy has been performed, investigators are not yet stating an official cause of death. They want to wait on toxicology reports to make sure there were no drugs or alcohol in his system before labeling the death as a suicide.
Although it seems apparent that his death was a suicide, officials want to rule out all possible causes. They say that it could be possible that he was drunk and fell off his balcony, and it just appeared to be a suicide. However, that doesn’t really help explain the suicide note.
Blosil was a first year student of apparel manufacturing at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. Although Osmond has admitted in the past that her son had some issues and had spent some time in rehab, there are conflicting stories as to whether or not he was dealing with depression. He was one of Osmond’s eight children, five of whom were adopted, including him. The toxicology results may not be ready for a few months.
