Lady Gaga known for her poker face, creative outfits, and interesting moves onstage has announced she is currently single and celibate. She attributes this to the amount of time she spends on the road. She claims, “You don’t have to have sex to be loved. Sex should be fun, beautiful and colorful.” Lady Gaga explains that she gets the strength to get through all of this from her fans. She calls her fans her “roommates.”

The 23-year-old performer is actually discouraging casual sex. Her advise, while speaking at an AID’s charity in London, said, “If you can’t get to know them, you shouldn’t have sex with them.” She suggested that girls get checked regularly for AIDS and to carry condoms.

Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, told her audience, “Here in the UK, six in ten women are affected by HIV are as young as 13 years old.” She also told her fans that she recently had an HIV test when she was home in New York because she was concerned about her behavior during her tour. Although she did not reveal her results it is assumed that she is negative for HIV. The singer, who has admitted to bisexual acts in the past, did not mention what tomorrow may bring in her life.
