Is it possible Mariah Carey and 29 year old husband Nick Cannon are finally expecting a child? Rumors are constantly swirling about the singer’s voluptuous figure and often attribute her added weight to a pregnancy.

Her recent appearance at the Independent Film Awards was done in her typical diva style. Extremely high eight inch heels and an itty bitty black dress that prevented her from actually walking on her own. Her security detail acted as posts to hold up the singer while she made her way onstage. Her figure was definitely a little fuller than normal, especially the upper half which is a common pregnancy symptom.

The singer is rumored to have denied all alcohol while at the event which really got the rumor mill going. Then she made a cryptic statement about “something very special” in the works when asked about upcoming projects. The couple has made statements in the past that they will have children together someday.

Carey is enjoying her comeback in the movie industry with her role in the Oscar nominated film “Precious.” Although the 39 year old singer/actress was not nominated for any Oscars, she is attending the award show with her husband.

Her rep is denying the rumors, as usual.
