DWTS signs new co-host


Since its inception in the 2000s, “Dancing with the Stars” has been on of the world’s most popular reality television show. The show pairs up celebrities with professional dancers and then holds a long dance competition. The format of the show kicks off one dance pair each week. Many celebrities, including Emmitt Smith, Mark Cuban, and Warren Sapp, have participated in the show.

Now, “Dancing with the Stars” has reportedly signed on new co-host to host the 7th season of the show. Brooke Burke, who previously appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” as a competitor has been named the newest co-host of the show. Burke was named as the co-host by host Tom Bergeron on Tuesday morning. Brooke Burke will be replacing Samantha Harris, who left the show in January. Burke’s responsibilities will largely be backstage interviews of the competitors.

While Brooke Burke has previously appeared on the show as a dancer, she is best known for hosting “Wild On,” which was a reality television show on Entertainment Television. After “Wild On,” Burke spent two seasons hosting “Rockstar,” which was a show in similar format to “American Idol,” except the winner earned a spot as lead singer of a popular band.
