The one time NBC and then CNN news reporter, Jane Pauley, has announced that she was hired by the Today Show. The announcement was made by Jane Pauley on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Both AARP and NBC made the announcement that Jane Pauley, who seemed to disappear from public television viewers when she publicly admitted to being bi polar in 2004, will be a regular contributor to a brand new monthly series called “Your Life Calling With Jane Pauley”.
The new series will be based on human interest stories involving those people who are over 50 and who have changed their career goals. According to Jane Pauley, herself, she has been interested in what she described as “reinvention” by people for over 20 years. Jane Pauley is now 59 and she has reinvented herself with her new over Fifties show which will air one day each month and will be a double bonus day for Jane Pauley fans since she will also join in a one hour talk at AARP. org/Jane.
The first airing of her chat at AARP to discuss her new series will be on March 9 at high noon where she will talk about her new interests in people who have decided to re take control of their lives and how they did it.
She could certainly replace that BORE Meredith Viera!
You can say that again…Meredith Viera is one of the big reasons I quit watching the Today Show, and Matt is not that far behind her. Plus NBC became so Liberal. It became apparent at the time Obama started running for President. The good thing…I believe there is less than 1000 day before we can put him out office. Maybe she can go with him.

This is great news! I always liked Jane on the Today Show! I thought she was “pushed off the air” by Bryant Gumbel years ago! I look forward to seeing and hearing Jane again on Today!
Are you kidding me? Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbal were very close, he was one of her biggest fans. of course folk would think that. Bryant’s real nemisis was Katie Couric. I watched just to see him blow her away. That’s the one I couldn’t abide. I will be glad to see Ms. Pauley she was great. I never would have guessed she was bipolar, she exuded calm and graciousness. Wow! I heard her speak about it some years ago. I guess meds are great now adays. Or is it something you can outgrow?
I am glad to see that Jane Pauley is returning to our television screens. She’ll be a great addition to the Today team! I love Meredity, Matt, Al, and Anne; they make the start of my day pleasant.
I’ll be happy to see Jane again unless she gets too sickly, sweet. I lke Matt and Meredith a lot–spunky couple!

Meredith Viera bein a BORE is an understatement. I hope Jane P will replace her. If so, I’ll be a regular viewer again.

Jane Pauley will be an added asset to the Today Show, I do not agree with comments that Meredith is a bore – she is so down to earth and real – along with Anne – both are reasons to watch -
Today has suffered from post-nasal drips since Katie Couric left. Matt is ok, Al is as funny and bright as ever. Meredith is ok, too, Ann is too cloying, Natalie’s cool. As for NBC being liberal, isn’t it about time the konservative klutch gave up on the kvetching? It’s old, it’s tired, it’s even wrong. (Not that that seems to make any difference. To them, even weather has a left/right category. Sheesh!)

Personally, I enjoy the Today Show more than ever!! I think Jane Pauly returning will add another dimension to the show. As far as it being more liberal…YIPPEE and if that is not where you’re at, try another channel.
