Ex-Tonight Show host, Conan O’Brien, will be touring the United States starting April 12 doing what many say he does best: stand up comedy. The tour will begin in Eugene, OR and wrap up in Atlanta, GA in June. He will also be making a stop at the famous Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN on June 10-13.
This tour comes on the heels of a nasty battle between Jay Leno and Conan, which resulted in Conan leaving his post at The Tonight Show. NBC allowed Conan to fill the seat Leno left behind, and gave Leno a variety show that aired weeknights at 10 PM, in an effort to save money and boost ratings for the rapidly plummeting network. Jay and Conan were making headlines for continuing to take nasty potshots at each other, which left a bad taste in the mouths of most viewers. David Letterman, who is still doing his show on CBS, couldn’t resist joining in the fun. He took his own share of potshots at Jay Leno, as well.
Ticket sales for Conan O’Brien’s upcoming tour are expected to go on sale this month. The tour will cover 30 US cities, including a few stops in Canada. The tour will focus mostly on stand-up comedy, but Conan said fans would also get to enjoy some music.
