Corey Haim Dead
Another Hollywood actor is dead due to an apparent drug overdose.
The Canadian born Corey Haim was discovered unresponsive in his San Fernando Valley, California apartment early Wednesday morning and was pronounced dead around 3 a.m after being taken to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Centre in Burbank.
Haim has battled with drug addiction throughout his career but no word yet on whether it was illegal or prescription drugs that killed him.
Haim’s mother enrolled him in acting classes to help him overcome his shyness and he landed his first role at the age of 12 on TV show “The Edison Twins”.
He then became famous by acting alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr. in the 1984 film “Firstborn” and went on to star in many movies afterward including “Lost Boys”, “License to Drive” and “Dream a Little Dream”.
He attempted to regain popularity when he and fellow child actor Corey Feldman started a show called “The Two Coreys” which looked at the lives of former child stars that were now living together as adults, but the show was short-lived.
Haim had filmed several movies prior to his death, including a celebrated role in “American Sunset.” and a cop drama called “Decisions.”
No more details have been released yet on the details of his death.
Haim was 38 years-old when he died.
