Robert Pattison Was Beat Up As A Child

He wasn’t always a predatory dreamboat with fangs – he just played one in the movies. In fact, more often than not, “Twilight” star Robert Pattison was on the wrong end of the punches.

“I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger,” the hunky heartthrob confided to Parade Magazine. “I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked.”

Pattison, 23, shot to fame playing Edward, the brooding, love stricken vampire in the movie “Twilight,” based on the bestselling novel by Stephanie Meyers.

Now the actor is promoting “Remember Me,” a romantic comedy hitting theaters this Friday. But he thinks his own love life is a bit of a mess. “The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog,” he told Details Magazine recently. “My relationship with my dog, it’s ridiculous.”

That may come as a bit of a shock to “Twilight” costar Kristen Stewart, “Remember Me” costar Emilie de Ravin, and all the other high profile beauties with whom the actor has been romantically linked.
