Singer Jessica Simpson is speaking out on her previous relationship with Tony Romo, a football player for the Dallas Cowboys. Simpson made an appearance Wednesday night on “The Late Show With David Letterman” to discuss her upcoming VH1 reality show, “The Price of Beauty”. In addition to talking about her new show’s focus on body image around the world, Simpson opened up about her former relationships, including her romance with Romo, which was the very first topic of discussion.

Simpson stated that the two were still friends after their 2009 breakup and that she still enjoys watching the Dallas Cowboys play to see Romo’s physical assets. She said in the interview, “Tony is great, still a friend of mine,” Simpson said. “I’m still a fan. I still look at his cute butt in the outfit – uniform.”

Simpson appears to still be confused on what led to the end of their relationship, saying, “What went wrong? You’d have to ask him that.” She also revealed to Letterman, “He broke up with me on my birthday.”

Simpson has also previously told People magazine that the football star helped her through a difficult time when her weight fluctuations were scrutinized in the media.
