Ryan and Tatum O’Neal Reunite

Maybe it was the death of Farrah Fawcett. Or, maybe it was just the perfect timing. Whatever the reason Ryan and Tatum O’Neal have made peace with each other. During a recent interview, the father-daughter explained that they are still adjusting to having each other back in their lives.

When the father was asked how it felt about seeing his daughter again, he replied, “Scary.” In turn, his daughter responded, “Real scary. Yeah, it feels beautiful, you know.” Tatum proudly announced that she was the one to take the first step. She called her father and he then called her back. Her dad then responded, in sort of a joking manner, “Dads are patient.” He said it is wonderful to have Tatum back in his life.

They both discussed Ryan’s life-long love affair with the recently deceased Farrah Fawcett. They both expressed disappointment that the actress, who died last year from cancer, was not included in the Oscar tribute to people who had passed away during 2009. Ryan explained, “We feel it’s unfortunate that they didn’t. We wanted to see her beautiful face. It would’ve made the telecast better. That’s all.” Tatum agreed, “We happen to know her and love her. He knew her, far longer and better than I did but she was amazing and I loved her too.”

Both Farrah and Bea Arthur who were long standing Acadamy Members were excluded an Michael Jackson who was NOT a member was included. Mike was talented but this was NOT the Grammys..

I agree with you Gary. It was completely inappropriate to exclude two life long members over one that is not. I enjoyed Michael Jackson for a time in his career but then he lost me along the way. I am sad that he is gone and has left so many that loved him but enough with the idolization of him to the point of disrespect to others.

Right on, Gary! I’m glad you wrote this comment. Michael Jackson was a talented performer, I guess – not my type – but he did not belong on the Oscars. Enough about the guy. He OD’d.

  2. Kelly says:

Although Michael was in the movie The Wiz, Bea Arthur was in many movies including Mame with Lucille Ball. Farrah made appearance. Heck, they include agents and publicity personell, why not Bea and Farrah?

Hoolywood is run by Jews. Did you see all the old Jews in black and white photos that were writers, screen play directors, producers , ect…Farrah not being a Jewess was ignored. They should have had a pic of her from Logan’r Run. I remember breaking into a sweat when she showed up to do laser work on Michael York. She was hot. That sexy smile I will never forget. All mu guy friends had that infamous poster of her hanging in their rooms. Who could forget her Mustang 2+2 in Charlies Angels as short a time she was on the show. The awards show had no problem showing Ron Silver a native NY Jew. most of the old men that they showed were fortunate enough to be already established in this country while their relative back in Europe perished during the Holocaust.

You know why……MJ’s black (well he used to be) and they’re not…..

  6. mjs4ever says:

O.k. blame MJ for this. He is dead not his fault. Get over blaming him for everything. He could still be included, but so could Bea and Farrah. It wasn’t MJ’s decision, It shows ignorance to pick on someone that didn’t have any choice in it.
