His star studded shield and awesome powers were of legend to millions of young comic book readers years ago but now Captain America is set to come to the silver screen. First Avenger: Captain America has been officially set for a Summer 2011 theatrical release and Marvel Comics and Marvel Company will be the force behind the film just as they were with the classic comic book.
Producer Avi Avad has said that the task of bringing Captain America back is going to be a difficult one. Avad, in an interview with the movie review site imbd.com, was quoted as saying that ‘bringing Captain America as a man out of time is going to be hard because having him try to view today’s world as perfect will be hard. His idea of a perfect world was small town America from back in the 1950′s and 1960′s’. Still with the recent influx of comic book characters and movies that have come out of Hollywood lately, First Avenger: Captain America should be a box office hit.
As of now, there is no word of a plot or who will play any characters. There is a rumor circulating saying that Hugh Jackman will be the one tabbed to play Captain America.

Jackman fits more the part of Wolverine as we knew of him in all the X-Men flics. Capt is a blonde figure in the books and she portrayed by one as such. That’s like having a blonde Bruce Wayne (Val Kilmer), when in all the comics he’s a dark haired millionare. Lets keep it as close as possible…
Yeah, there was never a rumor about Hugh Jackman playing Cap. Plus, the plot was released like a month ago. You people should do some research before you write this crap.
