The death of Corey Haim, which occurred earlier this month, initially seemed like a cut and dry case of accidental overdose, but as the days go by, the details behind his death seem to get foggier. While the cause of his death remains unclear, experts now believe that Haim did in fact die from an accidental overdose and that the drugs he was using may have been obtained illegally.

This week an unnamed suspect was arrested for running a prescription ring which allegedly supplied the pills that caused Haim’s accidental death. The unnamed suspect allegedly had been working for an enormous drug ring. The drug ring operated by receiving prescription drugs, which were then sold on the streets in large quantities. The drug ring has been connected to over 5,000 illegal prescriptions.

While all signs point to an accidental overdose, some of Haim’s friends have publicly stated that his death was not drug related. Haim’s could friend, Corey Feldman, stated that Haim had struggled with drugs in the past but was finally getting everything back together. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman had been good friends since childhood when they were both child actors. Haim was best known for his role in “The Lost Boys.”
