Emma Watson’s Stage Fright

Emma Watson, who is well known for playing Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” movie series, has apparently developed a little bit of stage fright when it comes to performing in front of a live audience. Watson, who is 19 years old, recently decided to attend Brown University in the United States and join a theatrical group that puts on free performances for students.

According to an entertainment blog, during a recent performance, Watson was noticeable nervous. This came as a surprise to many of the attendants as she successfully and confidently portrayed characters on film since she was just 10 years old.

While Watson did show her nerves a little bit during the beginning of the show, the young actress fought through them courageously and put on an excellent performance. The free performance ended with a standing ovation as everyone in the audience was mesmerized by Watson’s portrayal of Olga Sergeyevna Prozorova in Anton Chekhov’s “Three Sisters.”

While Watson appears to be succeeding well on the live stage, she will continue her movie career for at least the next couple years. The final chapter of the “Harry Potter” series is presently filming and is expected to be released in the summer of 2011.

Awesome! I’m so happy it went well! I wish I could’ve seen it! Emma is such an amazing person and an extremely talented actress! I love how down to earth she is. She doesn’t let fame go to her head at all. I just love her!
BTW, Emma played the youngest sister, Irina, not Olga.

Emma is just incredible. I wish I had been there, I’ve always wanted to see her act in something apart from movies. I love she’s not a typical actress who says: stuff it – I don’t need school. She’s completely normal and I respect her for that. GO EMMA!!!
