Paula Abdul May Bring Back Star Search


Paula Abdul a long time singer and performer is getting close to a deal to be part of the second revision of the 1980s “Star Search” show.

After leaving the “American Idol” judging panel Abdul has been looking for a new position. She is very interested in the “Star Search” position.

“Star Search” originated in 1983 and seen talent like Beyonce, Sawyer Brown, Justin Timberlake, and Brittany Spears grace its stage. It was a show where young talent could get noticed on TV.

The “Star Search” show featured talent in many categories. There was competition in dance, singing, comedy, and acting that put individuals or groups in head to head competition. If you won you moved on to the next episode to face a new challenger.

The original running was a big hit until 1995 when it was taken off the air. The first remake of the show was hosted by Arsenio Hall and only lasted one season in 2003.

Paula Abdul gained fame being on the “American Idol” judging panel. The “American Idol” TV show has been good to the popularity of it’s cast.

Simon Cowell who is leaving “American Idol” next season stated he would like to work with Paula again.
