At a ShoWest Convention recently held in Las Vegas on Thursday, Katherine Heigl barely avoided what would have been a true fashion emergency and real embarrassment. The shoulder strap of her designer red dress snapped leaving Heigl both stumped and red in the face!

Heigl was in the middle of addressing the members of the audience for her Female Star of the Year award when the strap suddenly gave way and appeared to have ripped. While Heigl tried to hide her embarrassment and keep her composure by trying to hold the strap up so the red dress would not fall away risking exposure, host Billy Bush stepped up to the plate to help Heigl and saved the day by holding the dress in place so she could finish her acceptance.

Once Katherine Heigl had finished her acceptance speech she quietly slipped backstage where she attempted to fix her dress with the help of a safety pin.

Katherine Heigl has recently been in the headlines for being set free of her contract with hit TV show “Grey’s Anatomy”. She is also well known for starring in hit movies such as “Knocked Up” with Seth Rogan and “27 Dresses” which quickly led to her being one of most on demand actresses in Hollywood.
