Julia Roberts In New Flick “Eat, Pray, Love”

Actress Julia Roberts has a new movie coming out, “Eat, Pray, Love”, based on the best-selling memoir from Elizabeth Gilbert. The memoir, originally published in 2006, is about a woman who travels the world to find herself after she goes through a divorce and her world falls apart. Julia Roberts will be playing the lead role in the film, which also stars James Franco, who plays a man Gilbert has a fling with, and Billy Crudup. In the movie, Roberts’ character, Elizabeth Gilbert, will travel around the globe to sample Italy’s finest food, pray in India, and finally find love in Bali.

The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters August 13, 2010. The trailer for the movie has just been released so fans of both the book and Julia Roberts can get a sneak peek at the upcoming film. Critics are saying that the book was translated well into movie format, which can sometimes be tricky. Director Rick Murphy was interviewed by People magazine and was asked about Roberts’ and her role in the film. Murphy said, “I think she has never looked more beautiful. She is so happy and fulfilled in her personal life – and it shows.”
