The lawsuit also claims that both Holmes and members of the Orlando police had pressured the woman into not pressing charges because Holmes is a professional football player. To date, Holmes has denied any wrongdoings in the case. Holmes has further stated that the issue will be taken care of within the next 24 hours.

According to Dave Lockett, who is the spokesman of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team had just learned about the recent allegation. The team stated that they will look further into the situation to gather more information.
