While rumors have been starting that Fox would take the role, as of now, she does not plan to participate in the movie.

In the previous versions of the film series, Lara Croft was portrayed by actress Angeline Jolie. In recent years, Fox’s sex appeal has caused many different comparisons between her and Jolie. Rumors have it, that one of the main reasons why Fox turned down the role was to prevent comparisons between the two to continue growing.

Megan Fox is best known for her roles in the previous “Transformer” movies, where she starred as the main character’s love interest. While Fox seems to have turned down the role, it does not appear that she will be without work for long.
