Roundup: Mel Gibson’s Divorce, Whitney Houston Drug Rumors

The divorce of Mel Gibson and his wife since 1980 Robyn has apparently been very uneventful up to this point. Robyn filed for divorce in April 2009 and lawyers and accountants have been working on division of the couples estimated $900 million in assets.

Most of the couples assets are reported to be tied up in real estate and the real estate market is of course in the doldrums.

Icon productions, a film production company owned by the couple will continue to be operated as a partnership after the divorce as neither has the money to buy the other out.

Robyn and Mel have seven children but only one is still a minor. Robyn has filed for sole custody of the 10-year-old boy.

Whitney Houston’s current world tour is scheduled to resume April 13 in Birmingham,UK.

Houston said that her recent hospitalization in Paris and the cancellation of the first four dates of her tour were related to allergies and an upper respiratory infection not drugs.

The 46- year- old singer has previously admitted to drug use, specifically cocaine addiction, in the 1990s and early 2000s.

As to rumors of her using drugs, Houston said, “I don’t listen to them.”
