It looks as though former first daughter Chelsea Clinton my be walking down the aisle with the help of crutches for her wedding this summer to fiancé Marc Mezvinsky. Sources say the daughter of Bill Clinton broke her heel and has been advised to wear a medical boot and use crutches for at least two more months.
The couple got engaged on Thanksgiving Day 2009 and many thought the wedding would follow soon after. Chelsea Clinton and Mezvinsky met while attending school in Washington D.C. as teenagers. They became closer when they both attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
Mezvinsky is 31 and he comes from a political family as well. His mother, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky served one-term in Congress and his father, Edward M. Mezvinsky served two terms in Congress.
Mezvinsky works as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York City where he helps manage large hedge funds. Clinton is currently studying at Columbia University in New York.
The couple will be one of the nation’s most prominent inter-faith couples as Mezvinsky is Jewish and Clinton is Methodist. A date has not been announced for the summer wedding but it is expeced to be one of the social events of 2010.
