In light of the recent ruling over National Prayer Day, a Christian legal firm is urging President Barack Obama to appeal the ruling.
National Prayer Day was recently ruled unconstitutional by U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb. She stated that a National Prayer Day endorses and encourages religious activities for a particular group.
This leaves a bad taste in the mouths of Christians across the country, so bad of a taste that several have decided not to back down. Attorneys for Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal firm, have urged the president to appeal the decision.
ADF Senior Legal Counsel Joel Oster stated of the recent ruling that, “The National Day of Prayer provides an opportunity for all Americans to pray voluntarily according to their own faith…..(it) does not promote any particular religion or form of religious observance.”
National Prayer Day was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress. It was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Ever since its creation, U.S. Presidents have annually set the National Prayer Day.
President Obama proclaimed, last year, that the first Thursday of May is National Prayer Day. According to sources, despite the recent ruling, the president intends to observe National Prayer Day on May 6th.

if we can not pray to LORD JESUS CHRIST then we should stop paying our taxes on everything the govt. wants us to pay taxes on.
