Johnny Depp has always been known as one of the rebel bad boys of Los Angeles. Now it seems that art has spilled over into real life. Recently it has been revealed that Depp confronted a mugger who attempted to attack a friend of his as he and his pal were exiting a music studio in Los Angeles.

British musician Stephen Jones, who is a close friend of Depp’s, was in L.A. to record music for his band called Ladybird. Depp has been a huge music fan for years and was in on the recording session having a hand in laying down guitar riffs that Jones was doing for a record that he was recording. When the pair was exiting the studio, they were confronted by a man with a broken bottle in his hand looking to do some damage.

Word is that when the man with bottle attempted to attack them Depp told them who he was and the attacker backed down. ‘I aint doing nothing to Captain Jack’ the attacker was claimed to have said, in reference to Depp’s character from Pirates of the Carribbean. Afterwards, it was claimed that Depp consoled the man and told him that he needed to straighten up his life. Depp gave the man a few bucks then he went about his way.
