Frogs close down highway

A massive horde of frogs have shut down a major Greek highway. Greek officials are saying that the frog mass has closed a section of highway near Thessalaoniki. Police Chief Giorgos Thanoglu stated that millions of the amphibians have clogged the highway about 12 miles outside of Thessalaoniki near the town of Langadas.

While there have been no fatalities associated with the frogs, there have been reports of three cars that have skidded off of the highway. Word is that there is a nearby lake and that the frogs are headed there for food and water. Authorities could only explain the gang of frogs as ‘one giant carpet’. Still it has been one big annoyance.

All across Greece the frog incident is being hailed by the Greek word ‘Tzfardei’a’. The frogs are on the Egnatia Highway, which is a major route in Northern Greece. There have been reports of smashed frogs all over the highway. The good thing about this is that there have been no major fatalities and that the accidents have been a very, very minute number.

At the current time there has been no word on exactly how the Greek government or local government plans on fixing the frog problem.
