After taking last summer off from their annual jaunt across the U.S., the Dave Matthews Band has announced summer tour dates for 2012.

The popular live act will begin its summer tour in The Woodlands, Texas on May 18 and finish in Mountain View, California on September 9. The band will play 39 dates throughout the summer.

DMB Warehouse Fan Association members will be able to take part in a presale for tickets beginning on Thursday. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning on March 9.

The band is currently working on a new album but have yet to announce a release date. Fans can expect to hear some of the near material during the tour, as well as many of the band’s most popular tunes from their vast catalog that spans two decades.

The band had toured for 20 summers straight before taking a hiatus from touring during the summer of 2011.
