Rihanna’s Tattoo Claims No Mistakes
R&B crooner Rihanna is known for her striking looks as much as her danceable beats, and the starlet’s tattoos are part of that look. One well-known tattoo is a line of text across the singer’s right collar bone. It reads, “Never A Failure, Always A Lesson” and servers as a reminder that all endeavors, even those that appear to be failures, offer lessons to be learned.
What makes the tattoo so unique is the fact that the artist, from NYC’s East Side Ink, created it backwards. Thus, it will read correctly when Rihanna is looking in a mirror but will appear mirrored for anyone who is looking at her. However, Rihanna states that she wanted to do something different–and this certainly is different!
‘I asked her why she wanted that and she said, “It’s kind of my motto in life for everything. Instead of considering things to be mistakes, considering them lessons.”
The young singer doesn’t consider her tattoo a mistake. In fact, she has stated that “[i]nstead of considering things to be mistakes”, she considers them lessons.
