Few Criticize “Wrecking Ball” Parody
YouTube comedian Steve Kardynal showed everyone on Chatroulette this week that he is the master of the parody by doing his own rendition of Miley Cyrus’ hit song and video “Wrecking Ball.”
Chatroulette’s randomiser revealed bearded Kardynal lipsyncing the song while wearing nothing more, at first, than a white tee and briefs, red lipstick and black boots.
He started from a prone position on a red couch and then proceeded to pantomime flirting and sexual actions and lick the sledgehammer before mounting his own wrecking ball made of a gray exercise ball hung from the ceiling with a yellow rope.
Kardnyal isn’t the guru of parody for his performance alone. He included an purportedly unscripted scene in which the rope broke and he fell to the floor. He also split the video screen to reveal live reactions to the original video reveal.
Viewers were shocked and awe-struck. Some also sang along or danced to match his motions.
At one point Kardynal’s parody averaged a better like to dislike ratio than Cyrus’ actual video.
No comment from Miley yet. Although critics wonder what she will do next, they have no doubt it will provide Kardynal with more material.
Warning: You can never unsee this!
