Claire Danes’ Husband Helps Her With Performance Of A Life Time

Claire Danes who portrays Temple Grandin in the HBO film “Temple Grandin” had help with her research. Six months earlier, her husband Hugh Dancy played as Adam Raki in the movie “Adam.” Adam Raki suffered from Asberger’s which is said to be quite similar to Autism. Dancy had done tons of research on both Autism and Asberger’s.

In an interview with USA Today, Danes was quoted: “He did play an autistic person six months prior to my doing Temple, which was a really odd coincidence. And it was very convenient for me, because our books were already filled with all of the required reading. It was a great gift to have him understand what I was doing in such an intimate way.”

Danes and Dancy were married in September of 2009. The couple met while on the set of the movie “Evening.” Danes played the role of Ann Grant while her future husband Dancy played the role of Buddy Wittenborn.
