Kentucky Cookie Recall

Most of us who loves sweets are fan of the famous Girl Scout cookies. Girl Scouts offer a variety of flavors for their cookies which include Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, Tagalongs, Thank U Berry Munch, Lemonades, Dulce de Leche, Lemon Chalet Cremes, Thanks-A-Lot, Shortbread, Daisy go Rounds, and the ever popular Thin Mints. Girl Scout cookies have been used for many years to help fund activities for the Girl Scouts of America as well as provide funds for donations and charity groups around the country.

In Louisville, Kentucky there has been a recall for one popular Girl Scout cookie type; the Lemon Chalet Creme cookies. The recall of the cookies is not do to any contamination or bacteria found in them, but simply because they “do not meet quality standards”. Consumers have reported the cookies to taste and smell funny, which is cause of concern to any company. The cookies have been reported as “safe to eat” but the taste is not what it is supposed to be.

The Girl Scout Cookie recall only affects lot numbers 7455881, 7455882, 7455883, 7456741, 7456742, 7456743, 7457661, 7457662, 7457663, 7458521, 7458522, 7458523, 7459401, 7459402, and 7459403.

Similar Cookie investigations are taking place in Atlanta, GA as well due to the “funny tasting cookies” for earlier today.
