Hillary Clinton Booed During Campaign Event

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was booed by her fellow Democrats during a campaign eventWashington (eCanadaNow) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was booed by her fellow Democrats during a campaign event.

The big instance took place when Hillary Clinton was having an interview in front of 3,000 Democratic supporters in Des Moines, Iowa.  She spokes in regards to her stands in illegal immigrants in the United States and their right to become citizens.

She stated "I have been favoring a plant to citizenship for years.  I voted for it in the Senate, I have spoke out about it around Iowa and the country and in my campaign.  And as President, comprehensive immigration reform will be a high priority to me."

She addressed the meeting via telephone, answering questions regarding her stance on giving undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship.

When she stated that illegal immigrants would not be granted amnesty and would have to earn citizenship, she was booed by fellow Democrats.  Even after Clinton hung up the phone following the interview, the booing continued.

This showcases the momentum of Barack Obama as a recent Iowa poll shows that her support among women has dropped 10 points in just one month.  With Obama receiving support from Oprah Winfrey, Clinton could be in for a rough road even though she is still ahead in national polls.
