Los Angeles (eCanadaNow) - Mariah Carey who released her new album, "E=MC2" yesterday is on track to have the #1 album next week according to HitsDailyDouble.

The singer is estimated to sell anywhere between 500-600K units. If Hits is right, this will be Mariah's hugest first week sales ever in her 18 year career.

Last week Carey's latest single, "Touch My Body" reached number 1 on the charts, shooting her past rock legend Elvis as having the most number one singles by a solo artist.

"It's amazing to feel just how fast 'Touch My Body' is exploding all around the world," Mariah said. "I'm just so thankful, because it's a song that I love so much, a song that really does express my personality. For most of my close friends, that's their favorite song, because it's fun and it's cute and it's not taking itself too seriously. I love the humor in it."

The album, which features Carey nude and with a giant feather boa on the cover, went on sale yesterday.
