AT&T is the exclusive U.S. carrier of the new device. Consumers have called the new iPhone the "iBrick" as activation was taking up to 24 hours for some users. The iPhone manual says that activation can take 20 minutes to several hours. Users were not able to use any features except for the emergency 911 service. "i waited in line for nearly two hours, only to wait another 24 hours for my phone to get activated," said one frustrated iPhone owner. The new device is expected to arrive in Canada later this year, with Rogers being the sole distributor. |
