Washington (ECN) - Filmmaker Kevin Smith has won a major battle, as his new movie called Zack and Miri Make A Porno will be rated R.

The hope from many would be that the new film would recieve an NC-17 adults only rating.

A spokesman for the Motion Picture Association of America stated though that the rating of the film was revised.

The revised rating came after their appeals board watched the movie.

An NC-17 rating would spell doom for the movie, as it would mean that nobody younger than 17 could be able to see it.

The R rating means that a person under 17 can see it with an adult.

The premise was that with the title ,and content of the film, an NC-17 rating would be a given.  This is not the case though.
