New York - NBC News has agreed to license and create a show about Farrah Fawcett's two year battle with anal cancer. The show will have repackaged footage and will air May 15 at 9 PM. The show, "Farrah's Story," will include video footage of Fawcett during her struggle with cancer. Fawcett said in one of the clips that the video is very personal and she was unsure if anyone would see it.

Fawcett's health has been debated lately after she went abroad for cancer treatment. The producer of the NBC show said that her cancer had metastasized and gone to her liver, although she's still doing well.

Fawcett was diagnosed with the cancer in 2006, underwent surgery and went into remission. In 2007 the cancer returned, however.

The video is mostly shot by Fawcett's friend Alana Steward. Others that will be seen frequently are Ryan O'Neal, Jacyln Smith, Kate Jackson, and Fawcett's father.

A senior vice president at NBC said that the video is very intimate and special and Fawcett wanted it to be seen to show the cancer and set the record straight about her treatment and outlook. Fawcett has also said that, although she initially wanted to keep her illness private, she now sees herself as having a responsibility to others fighting cancer and people that can learn from her.
