Kris Humphries finally auctioned off the engagement ring that he gave to his ex-beloved, Kim Kardashian. Kardashian had returned the ring to Humphries sometime after they split, and Humphries waited until the divorce was final before he tried to sell it. It was offered up for bidding at Christie’s, and it was won by some wealthy person who was able to bid $749,000 total for it. The auction house started the bidding at $200,000, and naturally, the bids went flying.

The winning bidder will make some woman a very happen woman. Lorraine Schwartz designed the ring and it was full of glitz and glamour. The ring showcased a 16-carat center stone adorned by two 1.8-carat trapezoid stones. It really was a monstrous ring that any woman would be proud to wear on her finger.

Humphries received a good portion of the money back that he spent on the ring. He also donated some of the proceeds to charity. Kardashian stated once that the ring was the most beautiful that she had ever seen. However, sources say that she was happy to get rid of it. It is not clear whether she was happier to get rid of the ring or happier to get rid of the memories of the failed marriage.
